Arsenal - You Let Us Down!

Arsenal - You Let Us Down!

Sunday 9th April was expected to be one of the pivotal moments of the season. Sadly, it didn’t quite turn out right.

After ten men Chelsea had seen off the challenge of West Ham United with a fine display we hoped that the Arsenal could perhaps do us a small favour at Old Trafford. Perhaps we should have known better.

Perhaps the writing was on the wall the moment it was announced Thierry Henry was to be rested and was only a substitute. Quite why remains a mystery. I wonder if he’ll be rested for the trip to Fratton Park. If so whatever happened to the ‘field your strongest team at all times’ ethic from those in charge at Soho Square?

Even so, our hopes were briefly raised by a spirited first twenty-minute showing from the visitors that gave us some hope. Sadly, a good goal by Rooney soon reminded us that you can’t rely on Arsenal for much in the way of favours.

After that it wasn’t even remotely on the cards that Arsenal would get back in the game. So, the gap remains at seven points whereas an Arsenal victory would have made it possible for us to win the title this Easter, a draw may have prolonged it a little longer.

Nevertheless it is still ours to throw away rather than United's to win!

I also don't understand why Wenger rested Henry yesterday rather than against Pompey. Surely he could have played 60 minutes and then been given a rest? But we remain masters of our own destiny, ultimately that's what's important!

You might lose Didier Drogba if you keep booling him. In my opinion that player is the difference between Chelsea and the other three big teams in the league. If you were to lose him this summer, I can't see Chelsea dominate the league again. Arsenal supporter. I don't think Alex really means he can win the premiership. He gives more motivation to his players because he fears more Liverpool behind reither than Chelsea. He knows he can't catch Chelsea.

Wenger rested henry because he had a problem with his body when he played Juventus. But it still dont matter because when we play totenham thats when we will be 4thy plus if we win the champions league and we`re 5th the uefa might do the same to what they did to liverpool.

I don't think so, they've already said this season was a one off never to be repeated.

Whoever wins the CL goes through no matter where they finish in the league, but only 4 from The Premiership go through so our friends in North London would be SOL! Can you appreciate the irony?
