Lampard Linked to the USA.

Lampard Linked to the USA.

After having scored his eighth goal in eight games, the future of Frank Lampard is once again the subject of much speculation.

Whilst rumours continue to link him with a move to Spain, following Mourinho to Madrid if the tabloids are to be believed, another destination has now been suggested.

Indeed, with Lampard having yet to secure his long term future at Chelsea, sources continue to remind us that for a fee of approximately £8 million, Lampard could be moving on this summer.

The latest (preposterous) suggestion is that Lampard could well be joining David Beckham in America.

According to a leading tabloid, a likely destination could be Chicago with Frank playing for Chicago Fire.

Previous rules that prevented exorbitant wages being paid are slowly being eased aside as the Major League Soccer seeks to establish itself as a leading sport in America.

Significantly, the tabloid uses the fact that Beckham and Lampard are contracted to the sportswear giant Adidas who also sponsor all thirteen teams in the Major Soccer League as evidence to substantiate there story.

Chicago is of course known as the windy city; co-incidentally we here at Vital Chelsea believe this whole suggestion of Lampard going to America this early in his career is also a load of wind, probably of the anal variety!

cant see it,too early for him, wouldnt surprise me to see him leave in the summer to spain.
04/02/2007 14:08:00
I can see it happening, in the U.S McDonald's, when they say supersize, they MEAN supersize. Forget adidas, Frankie's going for the burgers. Expect Paul Robinson and Marc Viduka to follow him.

do you think he will? It's crunch time I suppose, another signed contract will take him to an age whereby he'd be too old to go to Spain!
04/02/2007 14:16:00
Little Dutch - very droll - life a bit booooooring over at Vital Arsenal is it?
04/02/2007 14:20:00
Little Dutch ? No doubt you're a big fat lager monster in a skin tight XXXL replica shirt.... You wanna cut down on your porklife mate, get some exercise!
04/02/2007 14:24:00

04/02/2007 14:29:00
shirt with a second hand sponsor on!
04/02/2007 14:29:00
Oi! What's wrong with being a lager monster?
04/02/2007 14:33:00
Personally, I don't care for lager, I'm more of an ale/guinness monster. Plus, I'll have you know I am a lean ten and a half stone (though that particular statistic is expanding faster than third world debt). Merlin, it's funny that being a Chelsea fan you would be attracted to an article entitled booooorrrrrrrrring! And Albarn Chelsea? He was when football was all trendy in the nineties, nowadays he prefers to be seen lecturing the world about the merits of the Kenyan kettle drum. To borrow one of your favourite phrases merlin, he is a complete twunt!

In fact, one might create a neat little paradigm between blur and Chelsea. Mourinho is Albarn, mouthy, full of his own self importance, he's good, but not nearly as good as he thinks. Abramovic is Coxon, i.e the quiet one who is really the brains behind the whole thing. Observe how Coxon left blur when Albarn's ego became too immense, it correlates directly with blur's demise into mediocrity.

Nothing at all mate, some of my best friends are lager monsters, but they have the good sense to realise that Frank is to fat, what Wenger is to 20/20 Fat Dutch, I'm back in your plastic ground on Tuesday(twice in one season, more than most Gooners) I'm taking a massive blue & white flag, displaying just two words..CHELSEA CHAMPIONS.. Alright GUT LORD :-)
04/02/2007 15:08:00
What the bloody hell, ferguson needs to hit his kids about more, those mancs are having temper tantrum!Especially Whinning rooney.I won't be surprised if one of them is sent off.
04/02/2007 16:41:00
a nice theory about albarn little dutch but you obviously havnt heard of the huge suceess of gorillaz and the millions albarns made out of it plus what the hell happened to coxon?oblivion??
04/02/2007 18:10:00
all arses have got celeb wise is that really unfunny but really thinks he is, alan bleedin davies, what acomplete plank that is!!
04/02/2007 18:12:00
Slightly off the subject, but the gorillaz success is mainly down to the people who contribute to his albums, Dan the Automator, that group that did 3 feet high and rising whose names escape me etc. Anyways, I thought you lot wouldn't like him because he's a bandwagon jumping so and so. Coxon in the meantime, continues to make excellent albums, with Happiness in Magazines being particularly well received. GPL1905, I shall also be in the stadium, be aware that we don't take too kindly to any sort of flags in the Emirates (spot the irony in that sentence). In fact, presumably they will ban Portugese and Brazilian flags. Anyways, we sell our stadium out every game, something Chelsea cannot claim, though I do enjoy receiving fliers at King's X station every other week begging me to solicit your unused seats. Tell me, has your partial ground closure for CL fixtures been lifted yet?

04/02/2007 18:18:00
Agree with your point about Davies, but funnily enough I saw him at the game yesterday, I bet Albarn hasn't been near the Bodge in years. P.S GPL1905, I'd get rid of that flag in May mate, it's not gonna be much use to you then. I hope you boys can actually sell all your tickets in Cardiff, our youngsters deserve the opportunity to play in front of a full stadium.

Lamps is a footballer, not a tabloid icon. There is no way Lampard ever will play. Beckham may play in the US. He probably will be a Scientologist too. Long time since he had any credibility as a footballer. Lampard is the best England had in ages, and I believe he takes his career seriously. Let us see him sign a life time contract with Chelsea and we can live in peace.
04/02/2007 18:26:00
Agreed, Lampard did not write a crap autobiography after the World Cup, nor did he do an advert for the sun a few years back.

Little Dutch - a mere ten stone! what a tribute to healthy eating you must be or is it your lack of trophies that have contributed to the weight dropping off through worry?
