2009-2010 Team Plus Manager

2009-2010 Team Plus Manager

Before lindy introduced his own version of Fantasy Football, Vital Chelsea member seabourch sent me this back in the last days of April.

Unfortunately I forgot all about it until a little birdie reminded me.

So, here is an earlier interpretation of lindy`s idea.

However, for vcontinuity sake, can I ask you to stick to the present format although out of courtesy I do owe it to seabourch for this to be published.

--------------------------------------------

I remember last season we had a challenge where everyone was invited to write an article on how the team might look like if we could pick who managed Chelsea and what our team would look like.

So I've decided to bring that back and invite everyone who is interested to write on who will manage us plus the players in the Chelsea squad for next season.

State where your team will finish in each of the four competitions the team participates in as well. Also state the formation your team will play along interesting facts about it. Give the top scorer of your team too.

There are rules that must be followed and I have these:

1. Anyone can manage Chelsea. Even guys like Hiddink and Mourinho!

2. Your budget will be based on those you sell on top of a 20 million pound starter. Unlimited funds will be provided to sign ONE special player.

3. Have fun!

I'll start first.

Chelsea 2009-2010

Manager: Gianfranco Zola

Assistant manager: Steve Clarke

Out:

Ballack( free) to Bayern Munich
Deco( 5 million) to Benfica
Malouda( 13 million) to Juventus
Kalou( 8 million) to Arsenal
Carvalho( 12 million) to Inter Milan
Hilario( free)
Mineiro(free)
Belletti( 1 million) to Olympiakos
Ferreria( 6 million) to Porto
Total budget: 70 Million Pounds

In:
Zhirkov( 15 million)
Quaresma( 5 million)
Modric( 20 million)
Ribery( Special player)
Jaaskelainen( 6 million)

Squad will have these players:

Goalkeepers: Cech, Jaaskelainen, Rhys Taylor

Centre backs: John Terry, Ivanovic, Alex, Mancienne

Fullbacks: Yuri Zhirkov, Ashley Cole, Bosingwa

Central midfielders: Frank Lampard, Michael Essien, Jon Obi Mikel, Miroslav Stoch

Wide midfielders: Luka Modric, Ricardo Quaresma, Joe Cole, Franck Ribery

Strikers: Franco Di Santo, Didier Drogba , Nicolas Anelka

Team formation: 4-2-3-1

First XI:

Cech

Bosingwa-JT-Alex-A.Cole/Zhirkov

Mikel-Essien

Ribery-Lampard-Modric

Drogba

Top Scorer: Drogba with 37 goals.

Premiership: 2nd
Champions League: Champions
Carling Cup: 2nd
FA Cup: Champions

And that`s my real fantasy team!

And you're happy with 2nd in the league?? But I suppose in your little world winning the ''holy grail'' will make up for it??

Yeah, Modric can play on the left I think. Oh yeah, only 21 players.

I think realistically if we aim for all four we can get a double but to be in 4 four competitions and win the gold and silver is pretty good, forgot Stoch and maybe Kakuta.

Zhirkov will only move if first team footy is guaranteed. Not possible, I'm afraid.
