Chelsea - Ghana or the Ivory Coast?
As the build up for the 2010 World Cup, in South Africa, begins to gather pace it looks as if Wembley could be staging an enticing friendly.
With 3rd March 2010 marked in the diary as a date set aside for a friendly, it`s being reported that England are considering Ghana or the Ivory Coast as possible opposition.
If so, it would see Essien, if Ghana are chosen, coming up against Lampard and company in midfield, or if the Ivory Coast are chosen, Drogba and Kalou coming up against Terry.
Either way, it also gives us an opportunity to gauge just how the better of the African teams might get on in South Africa.
For once the prospect of an England friendly has got me licking my lips in anticipation, the only problem being I can`t make my mind up which of the two African teams I`d most like to see England face.

Ghana, their midfield might not be too bad you know. Essien and Muntari in the centre.

Muntari is distinctly average. I think its Appiah and Essien in CM

I suspect that the bookies will be considering one of the two African names mentioned as potential dark horses for the World Cup title... I don't particularly care about the late friendlies.

Both of these teams have it in them to win it. They'll have the crowd's support, so it'll be like home games for them. Just 7 matches, as the Drogs said..
