It all points to Chelsea to win the UCL

It all points to Chelsea to win the UCL

My very good friend, who is also a football analyst made me realise these very important stats, all of which points to Chelsea to win this year's UEFA Champions League.

If these are anything to go by, then we are going to win it.

These are his words:

1. We told them that NO Team has EVER won the Champions League back-to-back...They said they (Barcelona) have a super Team.

2. We told them that 15 times out of 16, any team that loses the 1st leg of a semi- final gets knocked out, they (Barca and Madrid) said we shall's now 17 out of 18.

3. Now we are telling them: NO TEAM whose stadium hosts the Champions League Final has EVER won it...They are saying Bayern is a Super Side..... we are waiting...

4. Three teams have hosted. ALL have lost.

Guys, these sounds too good and real .... Over to you.

Blah to stats ! They dont prove a thing... you could roll a 6, 6 times in a row...dosnt mean you are going to do it on the 7th ..unless the die is fishy!

Assuming you're accurate about 3 host teams in final and not one of them won, that is a comfort. I just feel that it's our destiny in the same way as I knew that we'd not win the title in the first year of Roman's money but would in the 2nd, 50 years on from our 1st and my 50th birthday- destiny, fate or the guidance of a god, call it whatever you like but BLUE really will be the COLOUR in Munich and I don't mean our mood!
07/05/2012 16:22:00
wow - we really need to stop trying everything we can to jinx this!!
07/05/2012 16:35:00
I'm not superstitious except for when it comes to football. Beware of the almighty power of the JINX! If the aim of this article was to provide a sense of security going into the match, for me at least it accomplishes the opposite.
07/05/2012 16:37:00
Only stats! Stats are there tO be broken! But not this year:-)
07/05/2012 16:40:00
second hazzabee... we are better off without any hopes. Like for eg. heck Bayern with superior players at home they are gonna crush us...shiver!!!
07/05/2012 16:41:00
0 Yes..yes...yes was waiting for someone to do this. I love it when we are underestimated. Thanks Robben. This is a bigger indication for me... ah hell ... have I jinxed it... nah I have jinxed the jinx now. It sounds stupid doesn't it... so pls stop :)
07/05/2012 16:54:00
Stats ALWAYS get broken at inconvenient times! I absolutely hate it when the commentators rattle something off like "Newcastle haven't won at Stamford Bridge since 1986", cringe. You know how it ends. Enough with the predictions of victory and prophesies, we've jinxed this thing now! I've got my head down and am quietly hopeful that we will pull it off and make history. Come on Chelsea.

I wish we had someone (anyone) on the right, ribery scares me. Cole in his very best could still handle robben, but bossingwa?....OMG.

Please stop with these articles your going to jinx the whole thing.

I was hoping that Ribery and robbin wil get in a fight guys..That wil make sure they are distracted in the final..There is lot of blah blah are going on between ribbery and robben..Both are good players and very big ego..So i really want something to get them riled up against each other in the final..BM are thinking that playing at home is a big plus..But if we score a goal early then there is going to be 10 times more pressure on them..It wil choke them easily..I am happy to eb underdog really..We are underdog against napoli ..We are not good enough to beat benfica..We hav -100% chance to beat UEFA FC..Now we dont hav anychance to beat BM at their home..Let us see...
07/05/2012 17:11:00
Just leave it until after the final will ya.
07/05/2012 17:42:00
BlueBanes said it all. i was so confident that we would beat newcastle(based on that very 1986 stat) that i almost placed a 5000naira bet but for d other party chickening out cos of my confidence. so i would really prefer d underdog status that saw us through mighty barca.

round of 16: we beat the italians quarter finals: we beat the portuguese semi finals: we beat the spanish final: bring on the germans. this is so chelsea's year XD
07/05/2012 18:15:00
stats aside, maninly because i think they are useless...what i think is actually remarkable about our Champions run-in this year has been the amount of actual "luck" that has come our way especially in the semi's. We've had it by the bucketload. I say this because I believe it to be true regardless of the fact I support Chelsea or not! IF we are honest , yes we have seen extra passion and strength from the squad and manager, but the penalty miss by Messi and other near-goals that have hit the woodwork has been knockout or would have been! I find it hard to belive that we can have so much fortune go our way this year that its not to be for a cause -for us to ultimately win the thing! Dont get me wrong , its not going to be handed to us on a plate , the squad will have to go out and earn it and earn it with all the passion they can muster for themselves , ofr Roman, for the club that we are all so proud to call our own - come what may. KTBFFH .. this surely must be our year ?
07/05/2012 18:39:00
feck sake people, enough of this over hyping confidence and you are leaving yourself open to spud attacks if it all goes wrong!
07/05/2012 19:03:00
the way the ball kept on hitting the woodwork v Barca and Ashley's clearance of the line v Napoli away which would of made it 4-1 kinda makes you think our name could well be on it!
07/05/2012 19:17:00
Okay lets stop this guys...Stats count for ***** if we cannot perform at 100% against bayern.
07/05/2012 19:37:00
07/08 Utd beat Barca in semis go on to win it. 08/09 Barca win it. 09/10 Inter beat Barca in semis go on to win it. 10/11 Barca win it. 11/12 chelsea beat barca in semis... Not reading anything into it... Just saying... :-p
