Another Bayern Rap

Another Bayern Rap

As the game approaches the mind games continue.

This morning, in the tabloid press, the Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has had his say and has tried to increase the pressure on us to win the Champions League by pointing out a failure to could see us staring into an abyss, remarking,

"Chelsea are a club with their backs to the wall as a result of their patchy league season."

"If they lose the Champions League Final they are not in the competition next year - and we all know what that would mean for a club like Chelsea."

"Roman Abramovich has put £900 million into Chelsea."

If he pulls the plug on them you will be able to pick the club up for the price of a puzzle magazine from a news stand."

The sad thing is, although I`d love to open fire with both barrels, he`s bloody well right isn`t he!

Hoeness is just playing the part. It's a sign of nerves--and I like it!

Also, any non-Bayern fan (and they're everywhere) in Germany would laugh at the irony of Hoeness moaning about money spent by Chelsea. Hoeness is especially grumpy because Dortmund play better football and spend far less.

The mind games continued. He clearly messing with the wrong club, our player is too experienced for this cheap mind games. I'm sure they will answer it with a great performance in Munich

@blue india. the phrase actually goes as When the Lion walks, Dogs Bark! Few manage to bite him too. The Lion then rests and relax! When the rest period gets over, the Lion Roars! And claims his position! That's the way a lion is and nothing & nobody can change that!

Nice responses from folks on here.... salzburry's comment especially made me laugh. roman has truly shown he wants to be here for d long run.... imagine he is trying to built us a new stadium.... a project that would cost over 500million pounds!! he is honestly a true fan now, like me & u. its even an edge we have over baryern. i just hope d cpo & west london authorities dont fustrate him or ***** him off with d handling of this stadium issue. i pray they reach a compromise that would see all party happy!

Uli is right but it is tasteless to be saying this about your opponents..he is obviously trying to play mind games and i am so glad there has been absolutely no response or trash talk from our side..we will do out talking on the pitch..he forgets the emblem of our club..we are the lionhearts and he will remember it well after May 19. For this kind of game that is why it helps to have experienced players who have literally seen it all..they will not be awed by the occasion..as good as the Bayern boys are..those young boys will cave under the pressure of playing before their home crowd on their home pitch when things dont go according to plan..After hearing this from Uli i will be particularly satisfied to beat Bayern on saturday.

I was watching Formula One Kobayashi's car bearing our beloved emblem as he bolted past other cars. I changed the channel after the race to Chelsea TV, comparing that channel to FC Bayern Munchen AG, ours was better, I have Chelsea App, the club wins numerous webiste awards, and is going to be a great vehicle for marketing for many a company, Roman is not Stupid, he understands that he needed to sacrifice a lot in the initial stages before the returns start pouring in and all is in place for that to happen. If Chelsea win their commercialization profile will increase and SAMSUNG and Addidas will have to stump up more cash if they still want to be affiliated. The web platform and the marketing strategies are already there, the only reason Bayern are making so much money is because they have been a constant in Bundesliga and with the advent of Borussia Dortmund that may change. Chelsea is more global because the EPL is more Global. If Roman pulls out, Chelsea will still have those elements that have surfaced in the last ten years. We have the best football club channel, we have Dolce and Gabbana paying our team while also dressing them, we're the glamour boys, we were before Roman, we will be after (if he ever leaves which I doubt). And even then, we've been on the brink of financial ruin and we rose to our current status. Though our emblem is a lion, we're in actuality a phoenix of sorts when we burn out we rise from the ashes stronger. Bayern makes the profits and balance their books, we remain the most fascinating story in all of world football.
