McEachran Returns

McEachran Returns

So Josh McEachran, the boy yet to turn into a man, has now returned to training with Chelsea after just four appearances for our little Welsh Barcelona.

He has come out and said (in regards to his loan)

'Of course, it's been frustrating,

'I didn't play as many games as I would have liked. Everyone wants to play but I've just got to keep my head up.

'I'm looking forward to going back to Chelsea and training with the team again.

'Hopefully I can be involved in the Champions League Final but I don't know yet. The decision hasn't been made.

'It's been a good experience with Swansea but I'm looking forward to getting back to Chelsea.'

This all brings me to my questions, firstly, is there anyone out there who predicted the failure of this loan (if so, I tip my hat to you), and if you did, where would you of preferred him to go?

Secondly, he stated there his desire to be involved in the Champions League Final, so, to what extent can he be involved?

And more importantly, do you want him to be involved?

Just to wrap things up I'd like to welcome back Josh and pray that in future he is one of our more successful youth team players, because if he can fullfil his potential, Jack Wilshere won't even be within a sniff of the England team.

i don,t mind at all if he features. We don't have adequate midfielders for the final now that malouda is injured.i'm very dissapointed with his loan spell though.never saw this happening to our highly rated youngster.kakuta also has the same problem.it's better we nuture them on our own.

i thought that might be tough but i never expected it to be this bad...plus swansea seemed like the best option at the time because they played free flowing football, the kind we would have liked Josh to play....

i think with all our players who go out on loan we are going to have to stipulate that they get match experience and plenty of it or its a bit of a waste of time for the player and the club

@Herefordchelsea..when you loan a player out you can never get any assurance as to how much playing time they will get if any..this is why this outsourcing of the development of our own players to other clubs is so senseless especially for players we rate highly and especially since we have such squad depth problems..Joshs loan spell to Swansea was an absolute, utter waste..let us just call it as it is. Kakuta did a little better at Dijon...but what we need to do is ensure these young lads get starts in all our home BPL games against lower half teams (like SAF does at ManU) and get starts in all our early FA cup and Carling cup games..then they should regularly have bench appearances for other games..this is way to gradually blood these boys and learn if we have a gem or dud on our hands.

That man Brendan Rodgers has beef with Chelsea. He deceived Josh.

Josh loan spell have been disappointing but d truth is if he had stayed at chelsea, he wouldnt played either. there is no blaming anybody as swansea was his best option then. d performances of sigurddson, allen & britton was too good to break up but rogers should atleast ve given him regular sub appearances. as for d finals, there would a spot available on d bench if malouda isnt fit but it should go to piazon & not josh.

If care is not taken cfc is going to ruin the career of this young lad, the chance of any youth player to succeed at chelsea is very very low, that Bertrand is getting some games is down to the fact that we have only Ashley as a senior left back, Ryan should thank the 'Russian Ronaldinho' for demanding a move away from SB. The Club would rather keep the likes of Malouda, Kalou, Meireles, sending one of our feature to Brendan Rogers for nurturing.

He's probably not registered for CL so forget any bench appearance. He might get to go along for the ride (just like Swansea) but it would be good for him (and some of the youngsters) to go along for the experience and soak up the event. Will give them something to aim for with Chelsea.

Swansea plays a nice entertaining football, reason why we all happy when Rogers decided to take Josh on loan, the lad couldnt get games at Swansea not because they have better players than him but because those players are more adaptable to Swanseas brand of football(quick passing with a lot of running, wing play etc), Sigurdsson, as much as i like him may find it difficult adapting to our play at Chelsea because he wont be sorrounded with players like himself. I pray CFC give josh chance to progress at the club NOW before his confidence is dealt a blow that is unredeemable. If Josh were a product of La Masia the club would be ready to spend a lot of money on him and that would force the manager to play him.

Not sure to what extent you will see this as ITK, but I have a few friends who are in regular contact with his family and though I haven't spoken to him for some time, I have known his dad all of my life. It was suggested to me that Swansea were very disappointed with his level of fitness when he initially joined them and they didn't feel he was ready to step straight into the team
