Best Managerial Choice?

Best Managerial Choice?

So I have submitted a poll titled 'Best Choice?' containing a list of the 14 most likely managers to take over our football club as the next permanent manager (as rated by William Hill).

I'd like very much if we could get a high volume of participation in the poll as it would be nice to see who the fans choice really is.

I'll give a rundown of each possibility, and if there is someone who has been missed out by both me and William Hill, do put it into the comments section so all us fans can give it due consideration. [All odds are those presented on William Hill at the time of writing and the run downs of previous experience come from good old Wikipedia]

I'm undecided as to whether this should be a limitless project, so I'll simply say be slightly realistic: think of it as we can coax any of them to the club, but some would have higher costs than others (e.g. Mourinho would cost far more to bring in than Paul Lambert).

I ve to commend u for coming up with such a detailed acticle. very much informative at a glance. however i would narrow chelsea's top man job next season to two men: RDM & pep. my own choice would be RDM no doubt. d guy more than deserves his chance(i see him as one of our own, a true blue) but d only reason he hasnt been appointed yet is pep. roman has always wanted pep, infact i would insinuate that he settled for AVB last summer cos pep wasnt available. roman has been a great owner, a great fan too. i think no chelsea fan can doubt that. if he feels pep is d man, then pep it should be. atleast he would still be around to rescue d situation if it doesnt turn out well.

Of the names mentioned my preferred option would be Löw, with RDM as second choice. I wouldn't like Guardiola to be our manager.

Roberto DI matteo is the BEST CHOICE!! Only reason why we have been playing "boring" football is because we doesnt have many creative attacking players like the entertaining teams have! SO get those players and Matteo will worg magic! He did an AMAZING job with the squad and he is a brilliant tactician!! HE MUST STAY!!

I always believed the best man for this job would be a club man. Just look at Andre Villas-Boas at Porto, Pep at Barca. I really don't know why we haven't made any significant move already to drop the word 'interim' from the front of his name, neither do I know what there's so much to think about. The more we delay the more we stand to lose as top transfer targets keep on snubbing us, Hazard being the first name on the list. And I'm sure if he does snub Chelsea, as that is what's looking likely now, it'll be because he could not talk to the manager, to find out exactly what sort of role he'd be used in etc.

lol Merlin yeah me too, the board can surprise us from no where and sign someone that we never think we will ever sign, RDM is the best choice to be fair at the moment

But even he is given the chance his authority's gotta be respected as well. Which means you just can't sack Eddie Newton in midseason without the manager's knowledge or permission. He can't be set up to take the fall, he must be given a fair chance to prove his worth. With Pep's shadow looming over his shoulders, this is what I fear most for RDM.

Really interesting results so far! RDM is leading by a long, long way which is odd as in a recent poll of should RDM get the job 78% or something like that said that he shouldn't!
