Record Breakers!

Record Breakers!

Chelsea has a lot of enviable records in England

I didn`t know we possesed some of these records, I think it is worth sharing while you can add yours to enrich others.

(1) Club with highest ever points total for league season

(2) Fewest goals conceded in a season (15)

(3) Highest number of EPL victories in a season (29)

(4) Highest number of clean sheets overall in EPL (25)

(5) Longest streak of unbeaten at home (86)

(6) Record transfer fee

(7) 1st club to play with shirt numbers (25 August, 1928 v Swansea)

(8) 1st first division side to travel by air to a domestic away match, (19 April, 1957 v Newcastle)

(9) 1st first division side to play a match on Sunday (v stoke 27, January 1976)

(10) 1st side to field an entirely foreign starting line up (v Southamton, 26 December, 1999)

(11) 1st team to score 100 goals in a single season (2009/10)

Surprisingly 1,2,3,5 I believe were set in one season 2004/05

Like it`s mentioned, anyone as we approach a quiet period of the season, want to add any others?

We have the highest scoring midfielder in our ranks. With over 160 goals, the obvious one is that we are the first london club to win the champions league and super cup :)
