Far Eastern Offer?

The rumour mill has clicked into motion with regards to a possible transfer for Frank Lampard, come next summer.

One leading red-top publication is inferring that Lampard is a top target for two Chinese clubs - Shanghai Shenhua and Beijing Guoan.

Both Chinese clubs are looking to offer Lampard a contract that would see the midfielder clear a cool £250,000 a week, which means that Frank, if he is tempted, could earn a cool £36 million over a three year contract.

The red-top also goes on to comment that, already being financially secure, it isn`t money that drives Frank on but a challenge.

Therefore, we have to ask whether a move to the Far East, joining Anelka and Drobga in a Chelsea exodus, is the sort of challenge 34 year-old Frank is looking for!

He's got a young family settled here, I really can't see Frank leaving them if I'm honest.

A staggering offer if it's true. From Frank's perspective, he's already very rich. He doesn't need the money; then again, it would be difficult to turn it down. It would be a shame to see him retire with any club other than CFC, but his days as a regular starter appear to be over. I'd like to see him sign a one-year deal on less pay (he is 34, after all) and go from there. Retire with us, Frank.

sportsmen don't have much of a career after retirement. if true, he probably will take it, and rightly so. He's achieved everything in club football (unlike ickle steve) However, I still think he has a lot to offer for us. He is a symbol and every one looks up to him. You can't buy that status and the effect it has on a club.

very good offer but i doubt frank will go to china , the language barrier, his family , and the drogba scenerio , he will prefer to retire here or go to usa to me
Don capon
I would Let him go and give a chance to Josh or Romeu..... and if we let him go, then we can offer Falcao something good.....

all the best frank...thanks for ur contribution to chelsea...will be always welcome at chelsea as a non-player...:-)... ps. i doubt he will move to china...more chances that he will move to MLS
Blu_run
I think he should take it since he will not be getting the more than 2season contract he is looking for at chelsea.

He won't retire @ Chelsea, and why should he?? He's a football player not part of the club's assets, we have BETTER players now
