A Day of Leniency

A Day of Leniency

Is it one rule for us and another for others?

A leading question, but looking back on the events of yesterday a question we feel we`re justified in asking.

On a day when Ashley Cole was charged with making comments that were deemed as likely to bring the game into disrepute it galls us to see several others walk away scot-free after committing offences that many feel were against the spirit of the game, namely:-

- Robin Van Persie - caught on camera elbowing Yohan Cabaye!

- Robert Huth - stamping!

- Chiek Tiote - stamping!

- Gareth Bale - diving!

- Luis Suarez - diving

With regards to the Van Persie incident, a source representing Newcastle is in no doubt what`s going on, when he remarks,

"It`s unbelievable. If that`s not violent conduct what is? Van Persie clearly elbows Yohan."

"It seems as if this is Manchester United getting away with it - again."

"How there has not been a charge over this is incredible."

But hang on!

The FA has got their pound of flesh with the 'Toxic Duo` have they not!

ivanovic ban is more deserved then van persie's would be.. realistically.. but van persie should have gotten at least one game ban.

personally speaking cole should concertrate on his game rather than updating comments against fa....i think its is his mistake...why the need to speak when you are already in a controversy just concertrate on your football...simple...i think club should realse a discipline issue that no player should comment against fa or anyone else....we need to improve our image if you have to give an answer to your critics then show it on the football field by playing and winning not.on twitter field

I think you guys got it wrong. Van Persie elbowed Cabaye? hell no! Its all Cabaye's fault. He headbutted Van Persie's elbow. Season-long ban for Cabaye!

BlueJay25, they (FA + manure) can't ban Cabaye as he's a decent player and lead to other teams dropping points. :-)

This is chelsea and expect any decision to go against us always. We need to know this and not let these things haunt us always.
