'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Will He, Won`t He?

And still there are conflicting opinions as to whether Ashley Cole will play for England on Friday night!

Although Ashley has apologized for his tweet and is ready to accept the punishment dished out to him, by the Football Association, and despite the fact the FA have decreed that Ashley is available for selection against San Marino, the tabloids are split as to whether he`ll earn cap number 99.

One reckons it is a nailed on cert whilst another reckons that Ashley will be asked to sit this one out with a view to him returning in the Poland fixture, which is anticipated as being a far tougher assignment for the England side.

Meanwhile, the television pundit, Alan Shearer, has slightly back-tracked when it comes to Cole. Having, on Saturday, stated he feels Cole should be taught a lesson and dropped for the San Marino fixture, he`s now chirping,

"He`s been our best-ever left back and it will be a shame if he`s only remembered for the things he`s done off the pitch rather than for all the things he`s done on it."

"I`m pretty sure that Roy Hodgson will think Ashley is our best option and I think he`ll play him on Friday because he can offer so much going forward against a team like San Marino."

I guess we`ll just have to wait and see when Roy Hodgson`s team sheet is unveiled on Friday evening won`t we!

I think he'll. According to hudson, everything is cool and normal

I don't think he'll play as roy hogson have already chosen a wyne rooney that don't have up to 70 caps for england as captain over a 98 capped player and a older one

Hodgson will play him I'm certain. He will do anything to avoid awkward questions. Not to mention Cole is a hell of a lot better than Baines

The FA has issued a statement on Ashley Cole and a misconduct charge, plus there is further news on Ryan Bertrand 's illness. The statement on Cole reads: ' Ashley Cole has admitted an FA charge in relation to a Twitter comment which was improper and/or brought the game into disrepute. 'Cole has requested a non-personal hearing, the date of which has yet to be set' Cole is currently with the England squad ahead of Friday evening's match against San Marino however Bertrand withdrew on Thursday morning and returned to Chelsea. He will be reassessed on Sunday ahead of England's World Cup qualifier against Poland on Tuesday. The news of Bertrand's condition is he has a systemic viral infection.

Luckily he is not the manager and personal difference should not come to put the game on disrepute.

I think he will get picked as England have no better options at LB.

Leiton Beines will get the node ahead of him though
