'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bang to Rights

Although Ashley Cole would probably love to get involved in a tit-for-tat battle with the Football Association over his recent tweet, it appears that our left-back has done the sensible thing.

Chelsea TV, last night, announced that Cole has accepted the charge leveled at him by the FA and is prepared to accept their punishment, or as we`d describe it - let sleeping dogs lie and move on!

Cole has not requested a personal hearing but it is believed he will submit a written defence to offer his side of the story.

As far as a punishment goes, we suspect Cole will receive a fine but will not receive a match ban.

Lesson learned we sincerely hope!

It was worth it Ash... well done....... Fine him as much as you want.... he is rich and doesn't give a s***.... it doesn't change the fact that you are bunch of tits....

Just hopin it would be a fine, bcos i smel a rat somewhere..the muppets at the f.a might just be waitin 4 the internationals to end so they can ban him for 1 or 2games

Im thinking Ken might be right . The FA have it in for Chelsea players - anyone that can rival United
Blue_Mel
Well he made an arse for himself for doing what he did, yes the FAs are bunch of dumbfecks but he shouldn't have pisted it in the media, the media vultures are gobbling him and ryans tweets up and waiting to draw out their rapiers, why help them? Good he owned up though and apologized, but I won't forgive him if he was banned.

I'll see if the fine is more than £45,000...
DeathByImpalement
Needless to say Ash brought this on himself..he is not included in the squad against San Marino later today and it is now looking like he may end up having that unique and odd distinction of being the only English player to get 100 caps for the three lions and never captain the side even once..the FA just love to stick it to chelsea and our players and in this case as another poster said Ashley essentially handed them the rapier and offered his bare side for them to deal the blow..i hope he escapes with just a fine but knowing the FA and how they just "love" chelsea dont be surprised if a 1-2 match bans appears out of the ethers after the international break is done to ensure it has does maximal damage to us.

Kendemsblue
When time comes, you will never have control over it. It is time to take it or leave it for someone else.
