Ukrainian Keeper Tracked!

Ukrainian Keeper Tracked!

Although we currently have Thibaut Courtois lodging over at Atletico Madrid, some news sources are inferring that we`re tracking another young goalkeeper.

Apparently, we`re in competition with Manchester City for the services of Igor Berezovsky, a twenty-two year old who is carving out quite a reputation over in the Ukraine.

Berezovsky currently plays for Obolon Kiev in the Ukrainian second tier and could do worse than have a chat with a certain Andriy Shevchenko if he needs any advice on coming to SW6.

i honestly don't even remotely understand why we are linked to him. hes a 22yr old gk. we have courtois who is currently better thn him nd is younger. cech is only 29 so has another 6-10 yrs with us. its almost as pointless as the signing of willian.

I dont like this and hope it is not true. Courtois is our no 2 goal keeper the moment he comes back home to us from Atleti and should soon ascend to number one after that when Cech hangs up his gloves..we need a credible no 2 for now and that should be an older keeper with considerable experience who will not be seeking regular first team action or to compete with our designated no 1. This ukraine GK could mean trouble for courtiois if he is as good as they say he is and we could end up with a mess like what Spurs have right now..lets just pick up Cudicini from Spurs or some other GK of that class to be our no 2 for now then turnbull can be moved to no 3 (which is where he belongs) and Hilario can retire at last. If we want to go the way of a young no 2 till Courtois arrives i would prefer simply promoting Blackman who looks more polished than Turnbull anyway.

If he is any good, why not buy him? If we have 3 world class keepers it won't hurt us, atleast we can sell for profit....buy him if he is as good as courtois...

@desmond,we dont buy players to nuture and sell rather we buy to use and sell(or release as the case might be),if he comes he is only gonna be our no3,therefore,hinderin blackman's progress...so to him comin,i say:'no thanks'

Like Humza I don't understand the logic behind this but I must remind you that Cech has a 'special' condition that's why he wears that skull-cap he won't play an extra 6-10 years, NEVER. 3 more seasons will be a lot for him. Cuortois was an excellent piece of business from Ron and them. He will fit in easily. Blackman could be a good #2 behind Tahibut however I guess we'll see what the future has in store even though I doubt we'd go and sign a 22-year old GK.

We've got enough cover for the no 1 spot... What about we addressing our major need, which is the striking department first?

i don't think we need a young goalie, infact we need a proven and experienced keeper who can adequately cover peter when he is injured.

give mata a rest and play hazard through the middle with marin on the left. and oscar on the right. or oscar partnering ramires in the middle and moses on the right. luiz on the bench. he has been atrocious in the last two games, cahill and old paulo in the CB positions ( both possess very cool heads ) something sorely lacking in our last two games and Dave on the right. he had a good game against Manure and i was impressed with his speed and tackling ability.

Mata deserves some sort of rest. He played 180 last time out

I wasn't expecting mata to play tomorrow initially... He needs rest after the two matches with manure with the 120 minute midweek drama.... Hope he recovers in time for the champ league

Mata and oscar with hazard are knackered, the trio needs rest, but we can only risk oscar to play against the swans in my own opinion, we can rest mata and hazard with mikel.

We need to play cahill and terry against shakter....and use one winger between moses and marin to negate their attacking threat by pinning them back, and RDM should work on solidifying the defense and make our attack more clinical and ruthless

Can't wait to see marin make his full debut... Maybe it's tomorrow. Who know

Terry is suspended..... Luiz is injured..... that means we probably have to play either Iva or Romeu at CB
