Strikers we could get?

Strikers we could get?

Hi, I'm CFCTalal and I am new to this site and I am just expressing my opinion:

Without Torres doing okay (not good) and Sturridge out of favour with RDM we have potential striker signings in January to look forward too, these are some possible candidates:

Leandro Damiao, great player, comes from Oscar`s former club, hasn't played in Europe either. He's scored 74 in 124, including a season (2010) where he's scored 38 in 51, pretty impressive for a striker that's just 23. He's reportedly open to a move to Europe as he wants to follow Oscar there, Chelsea are reportedly interest and so are Manchester United, I think he should be top priority, We can get him for under £30m.

Loic Remy: French speedster and is 25. Great pace, I'm a great admirer and I've seen him play for France and Marseille, he's been struggling to find a first team spot (like Sturridge) due to Gignac and he's reportedly fell out with the manager. He's scored 37 in 83 appearances, which is not bad for a striker that's valued around £15m, RDM reputedly tried to buy on deadline day but the bid got rejected, he's still on the radar.

Alexandre Pato; Is fully fit again after 10 months out with an injury, to be honest AC Milan`s medical team is crap, they say he`s fit and then the same ankle/thigh gets injured again, our medical team is great and could solve his problem. Search Barcelona 2-2 Milan, look at his goal, world class goal and his pace obliterated the defence. He also scored on his second start after recovering against Malaga on Match Day 4 of the Champions League. He should be around £25m and I think AC Milan are in deep trouble so they need all they money they can get.

Other mentions could be Andre Schurrle and Jovetic , I don't see them joining though, the three I mentioned above are, in my opinion, not better than Falcao but at least Damiao (in my eyes) can reach his heights, we should get, preferably Damiao.

damio we should defenetly go for him...young strong and a good goal scorer....and his link up with oscar will be an added advantage.....as he had played with him at his previous club...i think chelsea first priority should be damio...and we can sign him as we have lot of brazillian specially oscar in our side that would be a big plus point for us....chelsea shouldnt go for remy...if he is not good enough for marsellie to start then there is no point in going after him....

Damio is not bad in my opinion, but have come to realise that most strikers with hype seldom succeed with chelsea (kezman, crespo, shevchenko, Torres). So I will advice that we go for a relative modest striker like Loic Remmy so that we can watch him blossom just like Drogba into a household name in world football. For me Remy or any other moderate striker will do.

Nice shout outs..Damiao will be significantly more expensive than you have suggested..there are part ownership clauses involved and usual brazilian "inflation" rate to factor in when you get brazilians from their home land. For Loic Remy..good back up..not first choice material..another poster said it clearly..if he cant break into the first team at Marseilles are you seriously suggesting him as first team material for us especially since we favor one striker formations. This guy Wiflred Bonny intrigues me...but my first choice still remains by a mile and extra the Colombian assassin Radamel Falcao..it will ber very intriguing to see how Brazil fares in the coming friendly against Colombia..it will really tell if the Selecao under Meneses are actually moving forward or just treading water. As for Pato...no thank you..look at where we are with Marko Marin as to what happens when you gamble on players with dodgy fitness and injury records..the boy is a top class striker without a doubt but with the rigors of the physical BPL i dont see him playing more than 15 games a season if we are lucky.

U didn't mention nelson oliveira, who I think is good, I prefer if we by jovetic or di mao, but we need a rugged center forward in bony or doumbia if we spend the 40m we ought to use for falcao to get di mao for 30m and the remaining 10m for bony, both are 23 yrs old and are strong

Bony is a beast. He is my favourite, because he will not cost ,ore than 10 million pounds because chelsea are on good terms with Vitesse and because he is the closest thing to Drogba we can get.His technique for such a Bison is unreal, his shot and his positioning are also top class and most importantly he won't be coming with great expectaions upon his head (if you know what I mean!).I feel he could be at least as successful as Ba and Cisse and he is just 23.

Simeon23, great minds think alike, u forget to add that this guy will be eligible for champion's league, if we can get both strikers for £40m, then we will be set for some trophy haul.

I'm going to throw in my favourite striker, gonzalo higuain. I know it won't happen but I'd absolutely love it. On a more realistic note Wilfred bony has caught my eye. Demba Ba at 7m would fit straight in. In fact why not buy Bony and Ba!

Who knows maybe one night roman wakes up from a dream about falcao and he buys him. Maybe he will wake up one night from a dream about cavani and buy him. Who knows, but it makes for an interesting window. Depends how much we want to spend.

Am with GabeU on this one. Diamiao is the only quality striker on that list and he wont come cheap. His club would be asking for silly money after we got oscar on the cheap from them. We cant be going into the january market to sign average strikers or ones with potentials. We already have enough of that....sturridge, bamford, lukaku, feruz.... We should bring in someone who will hit the ground running. Look at the difference RVP is doing to an average man utd team. Right now they are very much favorites for the title cos there only weakness is their defence and would be taken care of when jones, smallings and vidic returns. Rather than pay around £30m for diamiao who have no european experience, i would rather take a step further and pay £45m for falcao. We cant because the torres deal failed and stop taking risks that give us a gaint step to the next level.

I think damiao would be a good choice if like you said even if he is expensive , if we got for under than 35 i think it'd be pretty decent , I admire remy , the only reason remy is out of the first team is cause of gignac , whos in superb form , i actually want to see a modest striker like him come here , he just feels right...don't know why , wilfred bony , dont know much about him :E
