'If It's Football, It's Vital'

What Does the Future Hold for Oscar?

Does anyone know just how good Oscar can become?

Is he just a talented youngster or is he on the verge, over a period of time, set to become one of the best midfielders our game has seen?

It`s very rare that I get so excited about any one player, I`ve learnt over the years that as you mature your thoughts become more rationalized.

But Oscar is different.

Everything about him oozes class and for somebody so young he`s settled into life at Chelsea Football Club with consummate ease.

His movement around the pitch allied with that touch of class we normally don`t see, belies his age, but perhaps the best thing about Oscar is that you get the belief that he`s generally pleased to be at Stamford Bridge.

This morning, in one of the tabloid newspapers, there are a few comments that illustrate that point perfectly with Oscar attributed as having remarked,

"It`s a pleasure to play for a team which attacks like this."

"I`m Brazilian so, of course, I like playing this style of football a lot."

"It makes me happy to be part of a team playing this way."

"It`s very important to me to enjoy my football and to be with a club with such a philosophy."

"I have already struck up a good understanding with Juan Mata and Eden Hazard and our relationship is improving with every match we play together."

"After every 90 minutes we feel as though we have a better understanding of each others game and, hopefully, there is much more to come from us."

Now that is something to whet the appetite, the prospect of the trio getting better and better only augers well for Chelsea Football Club.

Naturally, any interview with the youngster, so soon after Wednesday`s triumph over Shakhtar Donetsk, just had to mention that exquisite goal he scored with Oscar adding,

"Yes, that was a beautiful goal. I`ve not scored many better than that in my career and it`s definitely the first time I`ve scored form that sort of distance."

"All four of my goals so far for Chelsea have come in the Champions League but that doesn`t mean I`ve found it easier to play in Europe than the Premier League. I feel as though I`ve settled in well to both competitions. The most important thing is I am adapting to Chelsea and to my team mates and I have to keep the process going."

Could Oscar be an early candidate for our player of the season or, if this form continues, could he achieve something much higher, when the individual awards are handed out at the end of the season.

What i like about him is his vision and how he follows the ball when he make a pass.if he keeps himself concentrated in football, i can see him being a chelsea legend soon than we expected.

I pray these young players stay with us for a very long time. They are the future of our team.
torvicson
for some strange reason , i see him moving mata away from the center , maybe i am wrong
Don capon
his attacking is top top class but his defending is also great and thats a added advantage....a great player in the making...

Oscar is unique and rare and i think he will be contender for ballon d'or within the next 3years. I am really happy about the way Chelsea is reshaping. by the way check out our new striker >> http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/vitesse-striker-bony-interesting-premier-league-3627001

What gives me the conviction he will stay is the fact that brazilians (except Neymar who is being hawk around by santos) doesn't have the history of whoring and hawking themselves around like players from europe. The love and passion of Luiz for chelsea will definately force more brazilians to loving chelsea, it is getting more clearer that we are the next big thing in world football so, expect more brazilians here.
munich Glory
willian and fernandinho..... to join the contigent for the south of america. Man city could throw a spanner in the works though.
Dwonder
He's a world class player!!! Good in both attacking and defending.. A rare gem indeed..

I was really excited of how Neymar described him........ he can win the Ballon d'Or in the future..... he is only 20 !!! I just can't believe it that we have such a great young talent in our hands, who only cost 25m...... yes , thats a big amount , but it's already looking like a bargain to me......... When I turn on the TV to watch our team play, I'm really happy... I'm excited coz I know I'm going to watch a beautiful performance........ I don't remember the last time I felt like this about watching Chelsea play............ a big well done and thank you to Emelano and RDM and our board .......... Moses, Mata, Hazard, and OSCARRRR..... I'm really happy wholeheartedly :')
The Persian
Oscar was bought for 25m, and its an absolute steal, he would improve and improve and can be our next frank lampard but with better passing ability, this guy can win games single handedly and the most exciting thing about him is that he is 21! Doesn't get injured often and would be a real gift for football all over.

Oscar is just has good has i expected! but my player of the season has gotta be, between harzard and mata, shakhter players where being pulled all over the peach by hazard on wednesday, the only way they could stop him was by kicking him; i even lost count of how many times the boy was kicked! all in all watching the 3 of them brings joy to all of us and reminds us about what football is all about !
pego sama
I fully expect neymar to be our new number 9 and join his mates after he said he could only play with messi if messi joined him in brazil!

The Future Owe him Some Oscar Awards!!!
chuks09
oscar is a class, infact the football he plays is older than his age, de football he plays is meant for players around 26 or 27yrs, a real gem.
darilngblue
on sunday, i expect something special from oscar, its de 11th day of the 11th month, and the 11th BPL matches, i expect our number 11 to score in the 11th minute. am just joking, but it will be nice for that happen.
darilngblue
Oscar? i know u cant hear me, and u wont be reading this comment, bt may the good Lord tie u down here at chelseafc till u are more than 30, or no till u retire.
darilngblue
*for that to happen*
darilngblue
Have a horrible feeling Real or Barca will pursue him with a vengeance in the not too distant future.
londonfc
I guess what helped him to settle down so quick is having brazilian mates who are key players at the club and familiar with him from the national team set-up. He is going to be a great player for us and will make tremendous progress this season but i cant see him and hazard beating mata to best player award this season, maybe next season. Mata's experience will make the difference this season.
Chelz Akamz
Wow. McEachran so close to score what would have been one of the best goals I've ever seen. Those moves are most def going on Youtube.
Puttinuttan
hey puttinuttan, i am watching the same middlesborough game. had McEachran scored that it would have been one of the best solo goal i have seen so far. what a run it was. so happy to see his ability as deeplying playmaker and his great dribbling skills
kunthechelseafan
Yeah, he is looking very comfortable out there. Both him and Chalobah seem to be doing very well so far.
Puttinuttan
i am just thinking if Lampard remains injured Josh/KDB should be called back in January. We need quality cover for Mikel and Ramires. Romeu has disappointed so far.
kunthechelseafan
mceachan is wrold class i keep telling you guys that!
pego sama
probably an early contender for PFA young player of the year still adjusting to the pace of the premier league seems to fade in the last 1/3 of matches, give them 3years and we wont be far off a midfield as good as Xavi and Iniesta.
Anarchy
today the Pundit was hailing Josh as the brightest English prospect. Boro fans love to see him playing the ball.
kunthechelseafan
No article about us posting our first profit in the Roman era?
Anarchy
Haha, to talk about the annual financial report and Josh I logged in.
kunthechelseafan
In a 1-4 years , he'll be a regular ballon d'or candidate
CFCTalal
Fans are exerting more pressure on the youngster. Please let him do his job. He's a good signing.Thats it.Thinking further would put more pressure on the guy.
cfc250
Oscar though still needs to adapt in the EPL in the UCL he looks a different Player and the stats show it. He has four goals and one assist in 4 games in the UCL but only one assist in the EPL.
Oscar10
@londonfc don't worry Chelsea is not a selling club we don't sell our star Players we were able to keep hold of terry, drogba, Lampard (2nd in ballon d or At one stage etc)
Oscar10
Oscar is class and as much as I was fearing for Josh, he claimed that he likes to play from deep and so am wondering what will happen if these players can play in the same team
Kendemsblue
On no occasion should we recall josh this season, let him continue with his development and we'll assess him come season's end, oscar should be playing in the epl as rdm is allowing him to, sooner rather than later, he'll adapt, why he aint scoring in the epl is quite simple, it is more demanding, physical and there is no space to maneuvre with the ball like in europe, but when he adapts, he'll be scoring for fun.
Desmondadonis
if we continue to win major titles and attract major talents...more players will be dying to come to us rather than wanting to leaving...if we fulfill the potential within this team, we'll compete with Barca and madrid very soon, it will not make much sense for a player to leave us for any of those two...
layorh12
*wanting to leave sorry...!!
layorh12
Oscar is a fantastic player and he has been praised by greats around the world and most recently, dunga admits he is a potential balon d'or winner
Ken4CFC
We should not put pressure on Josh/chalobah...even to some extent mazacar...but there are some players who perform the best under pressure like terry...dont know in which bracket these young players come...but am happy to see them at chelsea....the 3 alone has changed the way chelsea play...
Blu_run
I just wonder where the quality coming from the youth team will be since it is like we have a bigger team for now.
