'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Name the Starting Line-Up

Continuing with our just for fun series, see how you get on this time.

We`re asking you to scratch your heads and use the old grey matter to the best of your ability, to come up with the starting eleven that Roberto Di Matteo will select for the fixture with Liverpool this coming Sunday.

Will Roberto continue to select Fernando Torres?

Will he persist with David Luiz and Gary Cahill at the heart of the defence?

Will he rest one or two of the three musketeers?

It`s time, for you, to ponder over these and many more questions doing the rounds before opting for the eleven you believe will be on the pitch come 16:00 hours Sunday afternoon!

what about this opinion guys, david luiz to play left back on sunday, since he likes going forward, JT will be there to to organise the defence, its just an opinion, bt i think betrand will start, good for his confidence, but need to improve his crosses into the box.
darilngblue
Torres has never had one half decent game for us since he joined us from Liverpool and i dont expect that to change this sunday so i would go with this line up; Cech, JT, Cahill, Ivanovic, Bertrand, Mikel, Ramires, Mata, Oscar, Hazard and Sturridge. Subs; Hilario, Cesar, Luiz, romeu, Torres and Moses.

Sorry in my post above in case it was not clear i meant to say Torres has not had one decent game for us against Liverpool since he joined us from them..if my memory serves me well i also dont think he has ever scored even one goal for us against them and i dont see that changing on Sunday...he should start on the bench with Sturridge leading the line.
GabeU
Torres is a sure start. A goal from him against Liverpool will increase him moral.. I guess.. Scoring the Goal & Breaking the jinx
chuks09
@GabeU - actually I thought he was good in the 4-1 loss at Anfield. He almost scored one heck of a goal too that day, he hit the bar. Obviously we all know why that performance was never noted/remembered

This is a very tricky tie. But i see it as the one that marks the end of loserpoop's hoodoo over us at SB. We will surely win. Line up: Cech,Iva,Cahill,Jt,Ryan,Mikel,Ramires,Oscar,Mata,Moses,Torres.
Ohans
I'd like the following lineup: Cech-Azpi-Terry-Cahill-Bertrand-Oscar-Ramires-Marin-Mata-Hazard-Sturridge;but I suppose it will be probably something like this:Cech-Ivanovic-Terry-Cahill-Bertrand-Ramires-Mikel-Mata-Oscar-Hazard-Torres;
Simeon23
folks should stop saying like ''we'll surely win''...i mean...it hardly works that way...plus we dont wanta jinx or do we?..
