Third Time Lucky?

Having recently been displaced in the United squad by Mark Clattenburg, Howard Webb is the man chosen to take charge of the fixture against Liverpool this Sunday.

It transpires that Webb has refereed two previous clashes with Liverpool and on both occasions we`ve lost.

Now it may be his affinity with the colour red or merely a coincidence, but would it be too much too hope it`s third time lucky for us this Sunday?

Comapring our fixtures for the remainder of this month with Uniteds, I think we may drop more points than United, so Im not optimistic that we will be top at Xmas

It's nice that ManUtd can put a referee that is theirs to whistle our important games. Isn't that just sweet? And then they put another one of their own in the games against us and other top opposition and all is dandy in manchesterville ;)

I'd prefer top in May though!
merlin
considering how mark clattenburg has found himself in hot waters after a mischievous officiating, howard web should be scared to follow in mark's path otherwise .......
torvicson
scared my foot, if he does anything bad 2mao, trust me when i say he wuld get away with it.
don delsy
Sure @mr. Merlin.. Its not about topping now or in january but topping the table in May is all that matters
chuks09
I pray for a fair officiating from him.. Otherwise?!!! No comment

I can bet on one of this three things happening tommorow, one a red card to one or two of our players, an offside goal or a penalty given by webb to pool. Trust me suarez's antics will hit skyhigh too tommorow.

I wish i could be optimistic but the moment i saw Howard Webbs name on this fixture i knew the game was up..i agree with Desmonadonis on this..it will take a miracle of Mosaic proportions for us to escape from this game with a win because what the ManU cartel or refs does is two fold..when they ref manu games the make sure all the half and half calls go manus way and if need be add in an offside goal, disallow and opposing goal on a phantom offside call, throw in a PK or two and as a last port of call send of one or more opposing team players. However they dont stop there ..when they ref games involving teams perceived to be threats to ManU the exact opposite happens..go an watch the matches the City had after they took Manu to the cleaners in that 6-2 game..suddenly after that they could not get PK calls, key players would get sent of for straight forward challenges etc etc. I am sorry but i fear the worst tomorrow..unless we really pour it on Liverpool and get a few early goals to break their spirit i doubt we will will have anything to smile about when the game is done..between Suarez and Webb i smell a casket load of controversy tomorrow.

darilngblue
Really bad news for us that this guy is gonna be the referee.. Its gonna be very very hard to win tomorrow..
Carloss86
Howard Webb,oh my God..hve a bad feeling about this ref but we will be too good for them to rob..com on u blues..
ojvmata
Webb or no webb we are gonna defeat the fools, lets just play our game, attack them and stuck the ball to their net then lets see how many clear goals webb would disallow
Ken4CFC
Coward Webb? I honestly have my doubts!
objectivekritic
Webb will try not to fall in any controversy and that will spur the game and live up-to its billing
Kendemsblue
He was not going to mess this one out.
