Lampard Heading East

The gossip, this weekend, relating to Fran Lampard is that our midfielder could be heading off to the Far East.

Several news sources reckon that Frank is heading off to China to play for the Super League side Guizhou Rehne and pocketing a cool 250,000 a week.

There`s also the inference that the move could go ahead as soon as January with the Guizhou chairman, Wang Guolin, remarking,

"I want the best team in China and we are prepared to invest a lot of money to bring Lampard to us."

What makes the move more of a possibility is that it`s rumoured that the super-agent Pini Zahavi is involved.

I guess we`ll just have to wait and see if anything materializes.

Good bye Frank (!_!) thank you for everything
Gaban
Goodnews if its true..
chuks09
Lampard and his agent better do some serious due diligence before moving to China. Hearing rumors of Anelka terminating his contract and Drogba not getting paid. Some of these owners are outrightly crazy.
KAKUfrank
Thank u lamps for those goals and never disappointing me in the early times till date, now its time to move on.
Desmondadonis
If he stays its fine by me but if he goes then i wish him all the best
Ken4CFC
We will regret this! Still too early as our new players have no winning mentality at all yet. He should stay till the end of the season as PLAN B ..... When we need to switch formation to 433 or 442... hazard disappears in big games. Someone like lamps would have made a difference yesterday with his shots... he is a proven winner! most people here just can't wait to offload lamps... I'm glad true Chelsea fans who go to the bridge worship him (unlike all the foreign plastics on this website) and his banner will hang for years and years to come.... SUPER FRANKIE LAMPARD.... *sobs*
Blue in Colorado
scholes and giggs are still @ united and we are about to lose one of the remaining players that give this club history... Next thing you know, these plastics above me will want us to sell Terry and will say he's too old lol.. I rest my case.
Blue in Colorado
legends do not leave this way, if lamps leave in this manner? he wont be remembered like drogba, hope he scores the winner for us in the club world cup, with dat i can remember him for winning us our 1st club world cup, lyk drogba did with the CL.
darilngblue
Thanks for all the memories Frank you'll always be remembered.
Elbowz
We will not regret anything. Lampard is 34. Mikel and Ramires are doing well. Oscar plays Lampard's former role very well.

Scholes and Giggs play a technical game. Lampard's game was about efficiency until that injury in 2010.

de rossi as a replacement? roma said hes available
Humza_96
Unless we sign a world class midfielder,we should keep hold of Lamps.Despite his age he has some football left in him and his experience is invaluable.He is the one and only born leader of this team excluding Terry and he has developed the mentality of a winner after the long years of service under Jose Mourinho.We saw what void left DD,we should not allow that to happen too.By losing him Chelsea FC won't only lose a player,but also a piece of the clubs identity.
Simeon23
I should note that even though I have critisized him this season,I will never want to see him leave the Bridge.He is one of the main reasons why I am a Chelsea fan in this very moment and I will be extremely gutted and miserable if the club parts ways with him.

humza i really love de rossi.a world class midfielder he is surely..

but for now i prefer fellaini considering his age and versatility...

fellaini is the new michael ballack...

One of the most important players for Chelsea in its history, the man is a legend in his own right - despite him being not as good as he once was, we must totally respect him for what he has achieved for himself and what he has helped our great club achieve also. He was our best midfielder for close to 10 years. Whatever happens, I wish Franky all the best. Top professional that can still ofer something to us. Should he leave we will need a CM replacement for sure. De Rossi is good but different type of player. He would also cost a bucket load and have some serious wage to go with it..
BlueKiwi
Blue colorado who are you trying to imperss??? You sound sooo fake.

Money has proven what a "legend" it truly is
@Mq
puts paid to the whole "he loves Chelsea" talk because if he did, why not sing the 1 year extension like Giggs and Scholes....Money and attention-loving has been who got nothing to add to the team now that he don't even get media attention :)
@Mq
One thing I know for sure is that if lamps is fit and played in his right position, he might have contributed something to our game against pool, atleast in the 2nd half when we need to kill the game, but not in the pivot please
Desmondadonis
Good for him and hope he gets through with that transfer.
Kendemsblue
He's leeeaaaving on a jet plane, God knows when he'll be back again *singing* happily :)
@Mq
We still have Cech, Cole, Terry, Iva and even Mikel who have been with us for long and will be our Scholes and Giggs. Oscar needs to be given the same type of oppurtunity Lamps was given to develop his winning mentality.
SameX
There are young quality players out there with plenty of potential and energy that we can get to replace Lamps in the Pivot. Capoue, Wanyama, Banega, Josh, Fellaini, Antonio Candreva, Kevin Debruyne and many others,,,,Lamps was given an oppurtunity to shine even in the big games, it is time to give others their own chance to shine and become stars. Lets move on please.
SameX
I remember games lost and drawn where Lampard played. People love nostalgia.

30mm pounds for Fellani in January is absolutely not good business at all. They are so many pivot players around the world developing and we have a Josh Mac playing really really well at Boro.
KAKUfrank
KAKU i don't want to say this because it will hurt mikel fans but fellaini is certainly an upgrade in midfield.he is more a complete player.however i will reserve some space for josh in the 1st team for sure when he come back.fellaini can be our utility player...
Chelsea n Torres Fan
co-sign 100% with^^CHELSEA N :)
@Mq
When last did Fellaini play as a DM?
foreign_viewer
FL leaving is expected one and i love that...thank him for all he has given...but i question his move to china...he will be better off in MLS...regarding the replacements, we have Josh & KDB playing the central midfield position in their respective loan clubs...we can use them...but given that we always consider BUY only as the good thing, we can think of de rossi, tiote as possible players. Fellaini is good but his price is too high...if we hesitated to pay 30m for Modric, then Fellaini is less than 20m...
Blu_run
fv-i can't tell u exactly when last did he play as a DM but he did it for nearly 3 seasons for everton.don't expect a problem for him to get back in that position.@blu_run-we hesitated to pay 40m for modric.regarding fellaini,everton got him for club transfer record 15m so our bid less than 20m for him should be considered as laughable..
Chelsea n Torres Fan
I would rather wish he is retained in the team till the end of the season. If he leaves in January, he has my best wishes. @Chelsea N... We all remain in this forum.......... and you will see that Mikel remains regular in the team in spite of the any new arrival.
avbhimself
That chance is really going and he will not find the space to continue playing for chelsea
Kendemsblue
Lampard will always be remembered no matter how he leaves. Their is no much special way to leave to earn credit than the legendary status he already has. All those records and goals are going to the record books leaving others to fight for the same or better it.
