Terry Injury Update

News broke late yesterday afternoon, around tea-time, that the injury suffered by John Terry wasn`t as bad as first feared.

With John having a high pain threshold and renowned for being something of an iron-man, the whelp of pain he let out as Luis Suarez crashed into his leg, seemed to indicate that John would be out for a significant period of time.

But, thankfully, the club released the news that John`s scans had shown no serious damage to his knee ligaments and that Chelsea expect his absence to be a matter of weeks rather than months.

Red-top speculation, this morning, suggests that John could be absence from anything between 2 to 6 weeks but is expected to return before Christmas with the inference being that he`ll miss the Premier League games against West Brom, Manchester City, Fulham and West Ham and also the crucial Champions League encounter with Juventus.

All this is far better news than initially feared as John left Stamford Bridge, on Sunday evening, on crutches and with his knee held rigid in a knee brace.
