'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Injury Latest - Ahead of West Brom (a)

With a game against Steve Clarke`s high-flying West Bromwich Albion fast approaching, last night Chelsea TV gave a quick outlook of how our walking wounded are getting on.

Of those in the treatment room, Roberto Di Matteo is hopeful that David Luiz will have recovered from the bout of tonsillitis that kept him out of contention for the visit of Liverpool.

He`s also hopeful that Ashley Cole will have shaken off the hamstring problem that also saw him miss the Liverpool game.

However it seems that it will be a game too soon for Frank Lampard to consider coming back from his calf injury whilst John Terry`s knee problem will definitely rule him out of contention.

@Mq - I know this is not the article to ask you this, but you will certainly see it here and possibly give an answer.

Why do you keep referring to Chelsea players like: Torrmented1, Cashley and similar name calling?
zg2000fs
@Zg2000fs, I've often wondered that. Torr-mentor, Cashley and Ramirez. I tend to think its some extreme case of OCD. I don't think he's written the word 'Torres' ever. Lol.
Hazzabee
Potentially No Cole, No Terry, No Lampard, and potentially No Luiz and we're not shuddering in fear. My how times have changed. We certainly do have strength in depth. That much is clear.

Have any of u guys notice the amount of chelsea players that went ahead to be coach? Most of the core players of 1998. Gus poyet, steve clarke, zola, mark hughes, di matteo, carbrini? Any other one u guys can remember?
Desmondadonis
ah exactly who is carbrini?
trueblue44
Specially "Cashley", i dont get why a Chelsea fan would call him like that. Or why would a Chelsea fan say "Chelski"...
Carloss86
we have very good cover for the positions of so-called 'Legends'...if we dont have them, we should question the planning of our coaching staff...but what we lack is the quality cover for the famous trio...if any one gets injured or banned for 3-4 matches, i fear we will take only 4-8 points of those fixtures and the opposition doesnt even matter...

The treatment table seems to pilin up on weekly basis..however,am wishin the injured quick recovery

Gullit, Vialli

Wishing them quick recovery. We can afford to keep having players getting injurd, as we are a bit light in some area of the pitch. RDM should begin to rotate the team more, as he has not done enough in this regard.
objectivekritic
We have cover in all the positions, though we must be worry of the former blues assistant manager's high flying WBA
Kendemsblue
i know i keep harping on about this, but hopefully this is the weekend to see marko marin.
Blue1989
Seconded @Blue1989
