I, in common I hope with all true blues, love watching Chelsea, whether at the Bridge, live on TV or via a dodgy internet feed.
But seldom can I relax when doing so, kicking every ball, disputing every call not given our way by the officials, and trying to second guess what the opposition might do next, only really becoming confident and stress free if we get 3 goals ahead round about the hour mark.
However, again I imagine like us all, I came to love Chelsea having first fallen in love with football, in my case through kicking a ball around with a slightly older neighbour even before I had reached school age.
For this reason I still love watching any football though I admit Southampton v Wigan, or similar fixtures, are hard to get excited about. However games like Saturday's lunchtime offering of Arse v Spuds mean I can look forward to what should be a decent match and will certainly be a hard fought one.
So it's a relaxing couple of hours for me, not really minding what the result is, although when any 2 sides who might challenge for a top 4 finish meet, I always hope for a draw and if 3 players from each side could be sent off and subsequently banned for several games, well that's a bonus.
Anyone else feel similar?
