The Problems!

Certainly we all didn't see a loss when we woke up on match day!

I actually thought we would win this with a big score-line, with all due respect to West Brom and Steve Clarke who has done a fantastic job on the team, they are definitely no match for Chelsea, at least the current Chelsea team.

Chelsea started the match well applying much pressure on West Brom but it was against the run of play when David Luiz our 'geezer' forgot all about defending and let go of Shane Long and before you could say 'IBRACADARA'(If you have a tight twisted tongue don't try pronouncing that).

Shane Long had given WBA the lead and the rest is history because I don't want to write a match report.

One obvious problem from the West Brom match was Ryan Bertrand - as much as you say this lad is decent and will become great at some point, you have to fault his problems, one of which is his positioning and overall play. He is still much at the learning process and doesn't give us that Ashley Cole feeling whenever he plays at left back.

He should be playing at left midfield for now until he learns fully from Cole how to play left back perfectly.

David Luiz - I won't stress on this one. Luiz seems to be losing focus; he should realize he is a defender and not an Instagram photographer!

Oriol Romeu - 'Barcelona reject' showed a bit of what he brings to the pitch during AVB's reign apart from that his performances have not been impressive, not even for a former Barcelona player or a Chelsea player.

Victor Moses - has had couple of good performances for the blues but against WBA he was just so sluggish on the ball and couldn't even go past 2 defenders like he normally does.

Daniel Sturridge - had a nice game especially after moving to his preferred centre forward role but his problem is that he isn't a clinical striker, chance after chance he wasted, assuming he could have just converted 2 of the numerous chances he got I won't be writing this article.

Finally Fernando Torres - world class to zero class. He`s been so, so appalling this season and against WBA nothing changed, No shots on goal, not even a tackle made by him, if I go on and on about this guy I won't stop.

His confidence is at a low, even my dad now thinks he can play better than our £50 million bundle of talent (Or no talent). We need a centre forward or else Torres will cost us the EPL title and even the Club World Cup.

Bertrand was utter shoite. We need Cole back Asap. He's been like this every game he's played this season.Moses and Studge need game tym.I thought Oriol was okae.Just his Combo with Mikel sucks.RDM needs to sit Luiz and Torres' arses on the bench.

It was a match I'd thought we'll win, but sometimes in life, you dont get what you deserve. Lets keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best.

Main problems are... Movement of the ball between the core of the midfield and our attackers... Work rate of the midfield in providing defensive support (hazard, mata and moses need to up their work rate in this regard - otherwise these three our shining lights). Torres is becoming an issue for the rest of the team and affecting other players in decision making going forward.... If we sorted out the Torres factor we might get away with some of the other weaknesses, as teams would be less confident in attacking us. I don't believe that defensively are back 4 are that bad at the moment. We are just not defending as a unit at the moment.

In reply to the first line of the sub-title...well I didn't see a win.

Interesting how previous seasons it was all about "getting rid of the deadwood and giving a run of games for the youngsters like Bertrand". Now that he gets a couple of games, he is classified as utter shaite and prayers are sung in order for Cole to get back. So so fickle.

On another note, I don't really understand why Sturridge was searched for, but Torres isn't. Every ball mata had, he was searchign for Sturridge. I don't see that with Torres.

Lampard and Terry.Please come back.

Tegzluiz...agree with you...Need another leader on this team that will firmly place their foot up the ass of 1/2 of this team when needed. No leaders on this team without JT on the field. RDM and the coaching staff need to sit Luiz for a couple of games until he gets his head straight and can focus. Luiz needs to keep everything simple. Bertrand same. The problem is that I can see Ashley Cole quickly declining as he has long term ankle issues. So, if Bertrand can't replace Cole...then a new LB may be necessary. I would not give A. Cole more than a 1 year contract.

zg2000fs Sturridge was getting into the right deadly positions and making the clever runs, something Torres has never done for us. Mata's not a stupid player you need to give him something to work with and Torres offers him nothing!

Bro it does not really matter provided our strikers are scoring Fø̲̣̣я̅ us,but D̶̲̥̅̊ε̲̣̣̣̥γ̲̣̣̥ α̲̅я̩̥̊ε̲̣̣̣̥ not due τ̲̅ȍ τ̲̅ђǝ fact Đ‎‎‎ąτ̲̅ we have a̷̷̴̐ certain Miss-Torres ȋ̝̊̅Ŋ our attack....aaaaaah A̶̲̥̅♏ bittered what a̷̷̴̐ waste of time, resource Α̲̅Ω̴̩̩̩̥d̶̲̥̅̊. Energy..chelsea better sign a̷̷̴̐ striker or we finnish 10th D̶̲̥̅̊i̶̲̥̅̊$ season..

@ zg , ess answered ur question about mata looking for strurridge perfectly. Torres don't offer any openning to receive the ball in dangerous areas. We Should be looking at leigthon baines to fill in in lb postion when Ashley move to psg.
Dwonder
Pretty disappointed with Romeu, after last years performances we hoped he would develop nto something great but he has been absolutely terrible in the pivot
Drogdays
@zg really really sturridge was searched for no its call movement!!..so let me guess torres dont score because mata in all the other games wasn't searching for him huh...mata his fellow Spaniard his best friend at chelsea...smd @this Torres love affair
Blue_yank
im sorry but im convince now most of our fans are a bunch of mellow dramatic idiots....i know im going to get it for making the comment but truth is truth.
Blue_yank
hahahahaha......LOL!!!

Bertrand was too busy in attacking positions that he neglected his defensive duties. All RDM needs to do is tell our 4 defenders to stay put and not venture beyond the halfway line except in the 5 minutes of a game we need to win. Paly Moses and Hazard at their respective positions, they were wingers before and thrived there so keep them there. Play Oscar & Mata behind Sturridge (who is more mobile and evidently hungrier than Torr-Mented1) then sacrifice Mikel to play Ramires only in the pivot. Our defensive problems emanate from crosses predominantly (not the middle so why persist with 2 pivot players) so with our RB and LB in place we are better placed to negate the wing threat.
@Mq
Give Sturridge another game playing CF from the start and, with those movements he makes, I'm confident he'll start banging in the goals
@Mq
Chelsea have been playing a man less for quite some matches and now we need to involve all the platers in a match
Kendemsblue
when we get the ball and make chances we cant finish and when they get the ball its in our net,now let me see, o yes it could be we cant score or defend so thats what needs sorting out,god i should be boss im not a tactical genius but id kick a couple of them up the arse

Nothing worth anything comes easy...least of all glory for ones beloved club. Next time when we're winning, it would behoove us to be mindful of a victory rather than complaining as to the manner of the victory. We as CFC fans have been spoilt of late. RA came with the money and elevated us...during Zola's time we fought for every win, and appreciated whatever silverware we got, we need to bring ourselves down to that level and never again stare a gift horse in the mouth. We still in it guys, are we gonna win it? I don't know, but if we do, you won't hear me complaining that we didn't play like the small time Catalan Club
Gian-Franco/Luca
Our main problem is torres,he goes anonymous in games thereby makin me and others believe we have been playin with 10men all along...how can a striker be afraid to shoot,he had 0 shot while he was on the pitch, even cech had an attempt
Ken4CFC
I didnt think Moses was as bad as you said - he still made some runs past the oppisition and was looking to take on the full backs and put low crosses into the middle. He had a howler of a miss himself as well when he was on the right hand side in the second half. I agree on everything else stated, lets give Sturridge more time in the centre as even though he hadnt converted this game, he always looked likely and with a bit more game time he should start to convert as at least he is creating the oppurtunities for himself compared to our big blonde flop. I thnk Bertrand just needs to calm down a little on the runs up field as it is with them that he was getting caught out of position, Luiz at times would then cover him and when he came back to defence, there is a miss match as a LB is playing in the centre (e.g west brom second goal.. the kid needs more time and lets not let one or two games cloud how good he has been over the last 6-12 months when we has come in as LB or in a defensive left sided midfielder or winger. My biggest problem with Romeu (and Mikel this game), is the failure to do anything about Morrison. We really needed one of the two (probs Romeu as is slightly faster) to man mark that guy as was their biggest creative outlet in the centre that none seemed to do anything about.
BlueKiwi
The only thing chelsea needs to win in Turin is the right attitude. We can get a result from anywhere we play and so let there be no mourning and name calling
Kendemsblue
Those tactics are wanting
