'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Look in the Mirror!

Does anyone else find it annoying when one of those who was most responsible for the inept way we defended, against West Bromwich Albion, on Saturday, steps forward and beats the drum stating the bleeding obvious.

Without the calming influence of John Terry alongside him, David Luiz`s contributions, in recent games, have bordered on the erratic and perhaps the Brazilian might have been better served concentrating on his own game rather than offering his views, to the media, after the defeat at the Hawthorns, with the erratic defender(?) remarking,

"We were angry and upset after the game on Saturday because we should have won."

"It`s normal to have raised voices after a result like that because this is a big club and we don`t like losing."

"We had the chances to win but we missed the moment and all we can do now is look ahead to the next game."

Ah!

Now that`s the small matter of facing a Juventus team, in Turin, a game in which we need to get a point or risk exiting the Champions League with egg on our faces, prompting Luiz to further comment,

"Juve are a great team and this is the most important game in the group for us."

"They are just one point behind us and we cannot afford to lose."

The trouble is, the manner in which we`re shipping goals makes it hugely unlikely we`ll scrape a 1-0 victory and it threatens to be another night of chewing our nails.

But in true optimist style, perhaps a bit like his defending, Luiz further adds,

"Things are not as good at the moment because we were top of the league and we can never forget how important the Premier League is."

"In two or three games everything could change and Chelsea could be fighting for first place again."

"But right now we are only thinking about our next game against Juventus."

And that`s how it should be, with u staking one game at a time, shame we didn`t apply that principle on Saturday if you ask me!

I said it from the first season he is here. He is NOT a centre-half. He's is just not there. He CAN NOT defend. From the very first season he was a liability, responsible for late (and stupid) penalties, poor defending (recall the "marking" of chicharito at OT...), and lots of wrong decisions. He is just not good enough for us. A team like Chelsea which previously had centre-halves as Desailly, Leboeuf, Carvalho, etc should have that class of defenders. Not Luiz.

Honestly this business of our boys yapping to the media is so annoying..David..answer the press boys comments with "no comments" and concentrate on fixing the glaring flaws in your game!!!
GabeU
i am really in support of playing luiz else where apart from cb .... dm might actually be worth it
Don capon
It is suicide to play this clown @ CB. I really like him but my patience with his defending has run out. He is not disciplined. Couldn't he also play as a RB? That's what I heard when we signed him up, so it might possibly be less dangerous to play him as a RB (for trail off course) or as a Striker..lol

Hmmmmmmmmm!!!

hahahaha, u are upset, what an irony? if u are upset, what of we the fans, then we will go crazy or mad, y are u frustrating us? u have to be thought a lesson on the bench

Our players(especially out of form players) have cultivated the habit of always openin their big mouths to the wolf media, first it was lampard, torres, then lukaku, lampard and torres again, now its luiz..will this guys just shut the fu(k up and do their talkin on the pitch with great performances..
Ken4CFC
Luiz can be a great asset when we start playing like barca...but it will take sometime...till that time, RDM should instruct him to stay in his position...Luiz is a defender who starts attack from back, if we are good at retaining ball possession, then this is not a problem. But we are still not at that level....will take time....Luiz need a good commander along-side him like terry...Cahill is not up to that level.
Blu_run
David luiz have directly cost us about 10 out of the 18 goals we have conceded since the beginning of the season if not more, so the first step is to drop him on the bench, bring in cahill and iva, make him know he is not a first choice anymore and he'll work harder to get into the team, I know he despises sittinng on the bench, so let him sit some till he works out his defensive errors

luiz does say that he is upset but all i see is his nonchalant behaviour on the field.wonder what will make him more concentrated in a match.another champions league final maybe?

@Ken4CFC...remind me...when has Lampard ever been out of form???
Gian-Franco/Luca
it would seem to me that this rot began with the injury to Lampard...the intangibles he brings game after game are being missed now with his absence...we Need our talisman back asap...and give him his two years please, let the legend retire in the team he helped to build...
Gian-Franco/Luca
Gian-Franco/Luca That what i have said a long time now. How many league games have we won since Lampard got injured, Add Terry to. I hope those who want theses 2 out off the club sees what has happend since they both got injured.
