I`m starting to think something is very seriously wrong with this.
Can anyone suggest how we have the following at the time of writing this article:
Torres: 31% (leading the poll) - what the heck did he do at all during this game to warrant any votes what so ever?
Mata: 14% - He wasn`t even on the pitch that long. Yes he had a few great little chips and passes, but how does he have votes we he barely played half an hour?
Mikel: 12% - Mikel nor Romeu were able to keep Morrison quiet who was West Brom`s most creative player and was constantly able to find acres of space where he shouldn`t have if Mikel and Romeu were able to close him down. Not sure how he warrants votes for this game.
Cech: 5% - Bar the two goals conceded he had a fairly quiet game. Conceding 2 goals gets a vote for MOTM?
Luiz: 2% - The person(s) who voted Luiz for this game may need there eyes checked. From where I was sitting, Shane Long had Luiz in his pocket all game. Cahill was by far the best CB for us, with Luiz looking very lacklusture. We need Terry back ASAP to partner Cahill, otherwise I would prefer a Ivanovic/Cahill pairing until then.
And now for the players that SHOULD be getting voted for...
Sturridge: 2%? - Along with Shane Long, he was the most threatening player all game, from the right wing in the first half, then centre forward in the second. Had it not been for the in form West Brom keeper who made some great saves, he could have had a brace or a hat-trick. He showed no real signs of selfish play, and was playing good passes all game. Only the chance near the end where Mata was at the far post could you really say would have been the better option. Even then there were two Baggies players between the two and Sturridge had the goal in front of him. I for one am not disappointed he shot the ball, only that he didn`t score from it. Given his position though you would expect a striker to shoot from that position every single time for sure.
Azpilicueta: 21% - Good game from Cezar. I had not even heard of him when he was first linked with us, and I must say I`ve been very impressed by him. Great positioning in defence most of the time, and an ability to get forward and put in decent crosses with both feet. It was his cross which set up Hazards header.
Anyone able to elaborate particularly on the first group that got votes?
