'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Why?

I'm at a loss, as I'm sure many of you are, but is it all that surprising?

That's how Chelsea operate isn't it? 100% success or you're out. It's horrible, it's disgusting but it's Chelsea.

Before everyone starts throwing insults at Mr Abramovich, I'd like to question just how much he's influenced by those two clowns underneath him (and whoever else back-stage that we don't know about), Ron Gourlay and Bruce Buck.

Their involvement is frightening and I'm relatively convinced these sackings are more their making than Roman's. How can we have such managerial instability when those two ass-holes can keep their jobs?

I personally don't believe Roman is this petulant kid sitting on his throne with a pistol, who fires anytime he feels things are unsatisfactory. The general consensus seems to be that Roman is an idiot with power. Well I don't think he is an idiot. I may not agree with some of the decision he makes, but I don't think he's an idiot.

At the end of the day, he's running a business, so there must be a plan. Perhaps the plan won't work, perhaps the plan won't even come to fruition, but there must be a plan. I refuse to believe that Roman, in a Stalin-esque fashion signs death warrants for each and every manager without thinking about his next move.

They must have someone lined up. They must!

Wasn't RDM supposedly the temporary incumbent? He was given a measly 2 year contract. That sounds like a thank you for winning the Champions League rather than a long-term commitment. So why sack him for someone like Benitez, who I imagine will also be temporary?

Perhaps there was more to this dressing room bust up after the West Brom game. Perhaps there are things we don't know about behind the scenes, we don't know, but unless we have Guardiola, Mourinho or Hiddink or someone of that ilk waiting behind the curtain, then what is the point in all of this?

Why so early?

Why November?

Why on the eve of playing Man City? (bear in mind all of the above will be irrelevant if we appoint a manager before you read this).

Is it our most unjust sacking ever?

I think so.

Were there any fans calling for him to be sacked?

I'll have to double check but I don't think so. Even though I totally disagreed with Ancelotti's sacking, I remember there were a fair amount of Chelsea fans asking for his head. But as far as I'm aware, no one wanted Robbie gone. He didn't deserve it, and to prevent royally pissing the fans off, Roman, Buck and Gourlay had better have some sort of master plan up their sleeves. Otherwise this is unacceptable! (if it's not already)

I mean re-wind to no less than a month ago. Di Matteo had us 4 points clear at the top of the table, playing glorious football, getting the best (whatever that means nowadays) out of Fernando Torres and we were flying.

That was less than a month ago. So that, the Champions League and FA Cup is not enough to keep his job? Ridiculous. And who gets sacked after 20 days of bad form? Who gets sacked when his team are lying in 3rd after finishing 6th the previous season. Wenger is 8th and 8 years of trophy-less behind him yet he keeps his job.

I know this kind of stuff happens in football but I almost feel like RDM has the right to sue Chelsea. I mean on what grounds was he sacked? A few bad games? And who's next for us?

I tell you what; our managerial shortlist is running thin. We're running out of decent managers to hire.

Who would take the job now?

I remember saying this after we sacked Villas-Boas, who would want to come to Chelsea now? The job is a poisoned chalice, a career killer. You need instant success or you're out, who would want that kind of risk to come with their job.

We are alienating the best managers out there. All that will be left for us will be the Benitez's and Redknapp's of this would who are desperately looking for a way into the big-time.

Why would the best managers risk their reputations and careers here?

They would be mad to!

Why would Klopp come?

Why would Lowe come?

Why would Simeone come?

I'm starting to wonder why Guardiola would come. It looks as if we've dug ourselves into another mess, and I'm just going to cover my eyes and hope for the best. If it's Benitez.... riot.

Looking for a scapegoat? RDM had it coming from the time we lost that Super Cup. RDM could not organise the team defensively and Team confidence seemed to be going on a downward spiral. The difference between AVB's form and RDM's is not that different. The buck fully stops with Roman I have come to make my peace with it since the AVB sacking afterall you cant argue with the results.

Well said hazz. Im embarrassed. What a mess we find ourselves in yet again dug willingly by the board

season 2 of reconstruction thrown up in the air are we ever going to stabilise and build a team, the board should be looking at ways to improve the club what happened to enlarging the ground etc , we are having a team rebuild that takes time and the right man at the helm to do it , i for one am a chelsea fan that wants to see us get the right headlines gd footy ace youth policy etc

The reason why they come to chelsea simple loads of dosh - a place in the sunshine (media) for a while get to mix with loads of famous people - and if it all goes wrong so what take the money and pop up elsewhere simple really!

Maybe soon Roman will realise the truth and ditch Gourlay with the hope it really happens. This clown Gourlay is the biggest insult to Chelsea Football Club. As for Buck my opinion has not changed on him very much same to what I think about his puppet Mr Clown Gourlay.

'Why' question roman's judgement??he sacked mourinho-we got to carlin cup and Ucl final, lost the league on the last day,he sacked scolari-we won the f.a cup and screwed by ovrebo in the UCL semi,he sacked ancellot and avb-we won the UCL and f.a cup...rdm will always have a place in our hearts but we have to move on get behind our team which includes the manager
