Oh My God It's Rafa the Gaffer

The official site has confirmed that Rafael Benitez has been appointed as the interim manager of Chelsea Football Club.

The 52 year-old, Spaniard has been given a contract until the end of the season and will meet the players at Cobham tomorrow morning.

Suffice to say, the appointment of Rafa the Gaffer is the most disappointing, relating to management, in Roman`s reign.

I can`t help thinking, bugger me just what have the clowns done!

This is an unwelcome development. I see him getting sacked again as soon as torres fails to deliver.

Why is there so much animosity? He won more than all other coached we had except for Mourinho... And he has beaten us in many encounters while he was at Liverpool. He cannot be that bad, can he?

Also, merlin, I've seen photos of you, and you are definitely fatter and older than Benitez, so it might be a good idea for you to use other language ;)

Your article is so offensive it could only be published by someone that claims to be a moderator -- if it was not, it would be scrapped. I get your disappointment, and maybe Rafa is not the man, but a fat Spanish waiter? What was the last EPL club you managed Merlin? Oh that's right, you haven't.

Never wanted to see the day that Benitez managed this club, but as far as 6 month caretaker-esque managers go, I think he'll be fine. It's not like there were many better options. Goal now has to be to secure top 4 and see if we can nick either the Club World Cup or a domestric trophy.

lol - but I have a long memory and my loyalty to RDM shines through - mind you I would have preferred Harry boy to take temporary charge! Now run along and lick AVB's backside please!

MDChelseaFan - Exactly, I don' see what is wrong with having an experienced trophy-winning person as the interim manager.
