A Quick Look at the Interim Managers!

I was sat down looking at events at Chelsea and trying to digest the loss in Turin, when I was trying to convince myself that Roberto Di Matteo still needs time and can still be around.

I remembered he was our interim manager before he was given the job. It prompted me to start looking into the issue of our interim managers since Mourinho's sacking and realized that they were very successful in the jobs they were given.

1). After Mourinho - Avram Grant took Chelsea to their first ever Champions League Final only to lose to Manchester United and also went all the way to the last day in the league and almost took it from Manchester United also.

2). Scolari - Hiddink, after Avram Grant in came Scolari, who was sacked after only 244 days and Hiddink was the interim manager, who pushed Chelsea up and if not for the bad refereeing, they were destined to be in the next Champions League Final against Manchester United again.

3). Andre Villas-Boas - Roberto Di Matteo, after Hiddink, in came Carlo who against all odds managed a first Chelsea double and was lucky to hold up till the end of the second season. AVB was hired and after some 256 days or so, he was fired just to be succeeded by his deputy RDM, who became the first and only manager to give Roman the cup he really craved for a very long time, spicing it with the FA Cup. He was fired after 267 days.

4). In comes now Benitez as the interim manager.

Is the good run of the interim managers going to continue, and are we going to be the Champions this season against all odds? I am just thinking loud. What is your take?

Are you serious? I am extremely sad that RDM is gone but there's very little i can do. Hope we qualify 4 the knock out stages first then we can dream of lifting the cup.

What amazes me is the fact Roman has sacked 8 managers during his tenure but not a single one of these managers have said any bad thing about him or the club. Seems he some how manages to make the sackings a win win situations. Lose focus - get sacked - get paid - leave happily - Chelsea gets a new manager - We win another one or two silver wares. Ride on Roman ride on. I got your back

Interim manager yet to win the league and Carling Cup could this be the year?

It would ve funny if benitez wins the Champions league then roman would be force to keep him and pep would have to wait( hopefully he Will never Come to Chelsea )

I have an eerily good feeling about this.

Maybe we must brace ourselves for some surprises that we end up winning things that were looking impossible like the times of Roberto where we won a double even though we were looking as if falling down the drains

RDM got sacked rightly so, likewise Eva the medic, she wasn't delivering or rather not 'healing'...Sturridge was out for a looong time, come's back ang get's injured after 2 games, like wtf?? Lamps was scheduled for a couple of weeks off, that's increasingly looking like a couple of months (not that I want him back anyways) our injured players are out for way longer than expected, she had to go plain and simple.
@Mq
Fingers crossed on what rafa would bring! Well for cfc sake, if he wins a trophy or 2 and attain top 4, then he won't be a waste
