More Questions than Answers

Hindsight is such a wonderful thing!

Should Rafa Benitez have stuck with David Luiz in the midfield, like in the semi-final against Monterrey, or was he right to return him to the heart of the defence?

Either way it appears that those who judge such matters were impressed with the contribution of David Luiz by judging him to be the second best player in the tournament and awarding him the silver ball, scant consolation, we`d imagine, for missing out on the big prize on offer - the Club World Cup!

(Just for the record, the Corinthians keeper, Cassio, was adjudged too have been the best player of the tournament picking up the Golden ball whilst the Bronze ball went to the scorer of the winner in the final, Guerrero.)

David Luiz did well in the tournament, was decent in the DM and also had a good game today. I personally would have loved to see him lay in the DM role again today as I believe his ball playing ability, control, energy and neat passes would have countered much of Corinthians's midfield steel....

And yes, Cassio was really impressive today, but I also feel our wasteful strikers turned him into a super star.... players like Falcao, RVP, Rooney, even Wilfried Bony would have punished him well....

i do not see the reason why he did not stick with the starting team from the first game....we had many chances to put the game away but it did not happen......3 trophy opportunities and 3 lost opportunities....hmmmmm!!!!!

I would agree that our best pivot pairing now would be Luiz as the passer/playmaker with Mikel as the DM but I would force Luiz to stay back to collect the ball and to not get goal side of Mikel....Tubby wake up....

If moses was useless, what was mata? Torres? Hazard? Oh pls wakeup from ur moonings!! And stop ur selective criticisms, he was poor, but torres was poorer and mata the poorest and rafa shouldn't have started lamps in the pivot and should have also played oscar from the start

Had we not played Lamps and lost this game I can bet my life savings the same ppl that complaining why Lamps started would be complaining why he didn't start because "we need his experience"...It's amazing how some ppl think

@Mq, was it not Glaring that Lampard made Ramirez Suffer defensively? I jst saw the game not long Again just to analyse the whole thing lampard made two players suffer the most in that game, namely Ramirez and Mata. He never for once came to aid help Ramirez in the pivot and was encroaching a lot in Juan Mata's space. That affected both players game negatively.

we r tactically inflexible. we cant switch to 433 because it wd hinder our best player (mata). we cant play 442/4411 because we dnt hv the personnel for it. we cd try plyin 3 at the bk but tht wd end in failure

I agree that we might need falcao afterall, but where would that leave torres? It will be criminal if we get falcao and still have to pay torres 175k to sit on the bench, if u guys tell me what we'll do with torres and how we'll ship him off, then I'll be glad, my opinion now is sell torres for whatever amount, 10-15m, just stop us from paying him that weekly wages, sell sturridge use the proceeds to buy falcao and walcott, then let roman give us a christmas present with fellaini or de rossi

While you are right TUGAY I can "assure" you if Lamps didn't play and we lost you'd be amazed by some ppl's comments. Look no further than the last matches under RDM and first under Rafa, you'll see just how many ppl were saying we needed Lamps. It's a case of damned if you do, damned if you don't (if the team loses/doesn't win)

Exactly my reasoning DESMOND I believe we can still rid us of Torr-Mented1, even for 10Mil we'd have saved us a great deal (lost Cups and loss of Champs League football)

Never thought id say this but i totally agree with @MQ over Falcao. We need him and i dont care what happens to Torres. He's cost this team way too much already. If he could just do his job and put the ball in the back of the net,a lot of us wont be complaining about Mata or Hazard,Mikel or Lamps. Lack of confidence in the front man puts an unwanted pressure on the rest of the team. How many matches have we lost/drawn this season all cos this guy couldnt score? He comes with 5goals in ***** games and in the big games,he goes missing. He is Roman's nemesis and i hope he is giving him nightmares!!!!

To put some perspective: Messi's league goals are 25 this term - the same as Ronaldo, Benzema, Higuain & Morata combined. Falcao has 20.....If that doesn't speak VOLUMES about Falcao given the "lack" of Ballon D'Or material midfielders at his disposal (unlike Messi & Ronaldo)

Discussing Torres and being bitter over his performances this term is like going shopping with no money, A bloody waste of hours. If Chelsea FC know what is right, they would do away with him, even if we get 10 strikers in the winter transfer window. He is a player that needs to be severed from Chelsea as a team, Club, Organisation and Nation
