Victory for Groves

Last night, at the ExCel Arena, in London, the Chelsea supporting boxer, George Groves notched up another important victory.

Groves, fighting at super-middleweight against Glen Johnson took the verdict, on points, on all three judges scorecards against an ageing fighter who has only ever been stopped once, and that being against the legend that is Bernard Hopkins.

Groves, with a 16-0 record and with a Chelsea badge proudly displayed on his shorts, is now looking to take on Carl Froch in an all-British world title fight.

Talking about the fight last night, Groves had this to say to the reporters,

'I'm very happy with it and I've learnt a lot from that fight."

'On more than one occasion I thought he was out on his feet and he wasn't. I fully understand why he's only been stopped once in 71 fights now.'

Onwards and upwards as they say!
