All Done and Dusted?

All Done and Dusted?

Was there a bit of a do following the defeat in the Land of the Rising Sun?

Did young Lucas Piazon throw his toys out of the pram, on a social network site, in relation to not playing and the level of performance given by those that did?

Quite possibly so, although Rafa the Gaffer doesn`t seem too bothered by anything untoward that might have happened, simply remarking when pushed on the subject,

"Normally with Twitter, Facebook, websites and bloggers, I don`t trust too many people. Any player not playing has to be disappointed, but that`s it."

All done and dusted I`d suggest!

Course he is, he could give a feck less about stuff like this bc he's a puppet clown that doesn't want to make waves. Hey Piazon shut your yap, do your talking to the players in person (hopefully he did, if not, quite out of line and cowardly) and not to the media. Who the feck is our PR guy/gal? Should be sacked along with the board. I think GabeU would support this given his stance on players yapping to the media.
17/12/2012 17:08:00
I would take Piazon over many...many...of the current shows he cares and his passion....which is severly lacking on this team...
17/12/2012 18:18:00
0 have me pegged exactly right..i absolutely detest the constant yapping of our players in the is sickening and as i have said multiple times our club needs a formal written policy on of these days it will really get us as a club into serious trouble not just mere embarrasment. @Mzee69 while i am against all players of ours yapping in the media it should be obvious to you why it is far worse for Piazon to be doing this than maybe Lamps..the reason is has actually done things of note for the club..some may say someone like Lamps has earned the right to yap (i happen to disagree) but a young pup like Piazon who has done absolutely nothing in a Chelsea first team shirt and arrived at Cobham like yesterday has to be very careful about opening his mouth to the media to badmouth his senior colleagues..that wont win him any friends and some of these vets can make life troublesome for him at Cobham..just a word of wisdom. That said, the truth is that he has a point because what he said was essentially repeated by Rafa himself in different words..namely that the Corinthians team wanted it more than our team..unfortunate but true.
17/12/2012 18:43:00
Piazon did not bad mouth any senior players, the stupid media twisted his words out of context to fit their stupid ideology...Piazon confirmed on his twitter account and this is what he said; Piazon- " All i said was that corinthians had more courage to play the final than us , that they wanted more this tittle and that they played with more passion than us! I would never say something about my team mates , im just 18 and with them i learn a lot of Good things. And i also said that this tittle is so important for the south american clubs and that was a dream for me thats why i was so sad. Thank you" via @lucaspiazon. There that's cleared.
17/12/2012 21:02:00
And this was revealed a few hours after the stupid media broke the fake quotes...funny none of the media outlets reported this.
17/12/2012 21:05:00
Even if piazon says that,he is spot passion,'s just so sad.
17/12/2012 21:41:00
That statement still sounds more or less like he is saying we did not try hard enough to win the game. Foreign players always hide behind the it was lost in translation statement. However he is not wrong you could tell at the end of the game who it meant to more.
18/12/2012 01:29:00
I knew our season was fecked when I saw the alarming rate our players took to the media, at a time torres was talking to the media everyweek, mata have taken the mantle now, luiz too, cahill at a point, oscar, mikel, lampard, cech, the only mute ones who don't talk much is rammy and brana, the rest are talking freaks, why can't they just concentrate on the football and stop the damn talking which lands us in hot water most times, and some other fans keep asking me what we are doing with lucas piazon's talent, and I told him we are wasting him and would ruin him if he doesn't get a saving coach, if he was at man utd, arsenal or barca, we know what he'll be doing by now. And we all know he is good enough, its the pressure on the manager that makes them not to play him, when marin who is 23 gets 3 minutes how can we expect paizon to get game time? Sighs*
18/12/2012 03:55:00
@zaput he is spot on, however, there are other ways to go about it (if the quotes are word for word). I am afraid he may have just alienated himself from the senior blokes. And the last thing we need is a division in the dressing room (assuming there is not one already).
18/12/2012 05:18:00
From his twitter clarification,it would be inevitable for the media to twist his words to suit themselves..piazons' angle or the medias' angle, whichever way u look at it they are stil sayin the samething, corinthians wanted it more than us because most of our players lacked the passion, commitment, hunger and zeal to win,we had more pedestrans and beauty queens on that pitch than footballers...though i think he is spot on but i disagree with the mode of information, our players are talkin too much to the wolves, this cancer is spreadin very fast from the senior players now to youngsters...
18/12/2012 05:49:00
So what's the plan? Get the players to stop talking to the media? Distance themselves from fans? How do we have an idea of their true feelings? So is it the players fault or lack of discipline from the staffs? This morning stories emerging from brazil revealed Rafa's tactical team sheet which was not properly disposed,revealed... people comparing Piazons fake quotes to the one on twitter probably didn't read the full interview. Piazon; “We lacked character and love for the shirt,” he said. “Nobody wanted to play. At least Oscar tried, I will not specify which players didn’t, but the team came unwillingly. You can’t get in to a final and be unwilling to play, that is unacceptable. They were missing the desire to be a champion. I think the Brazilian players, Ramires and David Luis, strove to the utmost and therefore are sad.” “He can not enter into a final without thinking about being in a final,” he added. “But I realised that David was ill. No wonder, he was one of the few who actually cared.”...the fake quotes sounded like a personal attack on his team mates, which is obviously not Oscar's nature. Its what the media do,they make your quotes come out worse than it actually is. On Saturday night after training Fernando Torres ignored the british media to grant some trusted spanish outlet an interview, which led to the british media outraged at his behavior. You won't blame the lad,and Piazon will learn to only grant interview to trusted media personnels.
18/12/2012 08:37:00
His got every rigth to be upset when torres is starting ahead of him and his clearly way better than him, i mean who wouldn't be upset when a useless overpaid player is ahead of you!!!!????????? its upsetting just thinking about it!

One question for those justifying Piazon, Torres, Lamps or any of our players yapping to the press ..whether it be so called trusted or none trusted media sources. Look at the teams and players actually doing deeds of note in the BPL..look at ManUs players other than Rio how many of their players do you hear granting media interviews and tweeting nonsense..have you haeard a word from RVP, From Rooney, Welbeck, even chicarito, Kagawa? Look at city..other than the numbskull Ballotelli how many times have you heard arguero, Tevez, Yaya, David Silva etc yapping to the media. this is a serious problem and it reflects the lack of stable leadership, direction and policy at our club.
18/12/2012 12:57:00
well i don't mind if he see had said it or not but i know he is spot on. Common guys this team winning mentality is just low! Simple! where is the fight?! See you can have so many talents but one thing that will distinguish you even more is your mentality. you can't allow yourself to be played out of a game be it you are Mata, Moses, Hazard or Torres. you have got to fight to stay in the match even though you are tiny or big. Fight even though you loose let's see you fought and gave it your all simple!
18/12/2012 13:00:00
the second half at west ham and the second half against corinthians were both really worrying. now i'm worried about leeds, the team that shed 6 at home to watford less than six wks ago. how can we be so poor? i really dont see a quick fix either. worrying times indeed.
18/12/2012 13:39:00
Judgin from what i saw on sunday,i think the media comment summarise the performance better, the players look disinterested, they lacked passion, the winning mentality was nowhere to be found even with the leadership of legend frank.only the brazilians(luiz and ramires) can hold their heads high, they were the only 2 who played with their hearts bleedin 4 the blueshirt...just has gabeu has said above, why always us??u rarely read/hear an interview from utd, city, liverpul,le arse and even spurs players but every single week our players run to the media to give them something to write about..
18/12/2012 13:57:00
I don't think anyone should talk to the media after a match as abysmal as that. Taken out of context, in context, whatever. We got our a$$e$ bought, boxed, wrapped, sealed and sent to the whole world to see. Last thing we need(ed) is a player running on high emotion talking to the press. Just asking for trouble. Also, saw a quote where Franky said to the media that he wouldn't mind playing against Leeds. Hey Frank, love you to death m8, but keep it shut. Give that time to the lads instead.
