Paulinho - Staying in Brazil

Paulinho - Staying in Brazil

Any hopes Chelsea had of signing the Brazilian midfielder, Paulinho appear to have been dashed.

The Corinthians player, who starred in their victory of us in Japan, on Sunday, had been linked with a move to London.

However, following their acquisition of the FIFA Club World Cup, Paulinho is reported to have inferred that he`s not interested in a return to European football and that, even at the age of 24, he has pledged to remain with Corinthians.

Now whether he`s serious or the statement was made in the euphoria of the victory remains to be seen.

The Brazilians have a way of changing their minds when the see the CASH.I He'll be a Chelsea player once RA splashes d cash. It's just a statement that was made in the euphoria of the victory.

Oscar once said he was returning to inter a week before he signed for us.Its just the euphoria of the trophy that made him say that.

Do we really need him?what are we looking for?A DMF or a CMF?from my knowledge we need a DMF,paulinho isn't a DMF,so we should just stop this ish and hype about him!!!he isn't needed now,if we are to sign a cmf,I will go for benat instead

Honestly i was not impressed by him in our match..he did nothing special. He was partnered by two other DMs in that match and we did not have any true DM on the pitch. Shaktars fernandinhio is way better..let us not even mention others like Wanyama, Busquets or Fellaini (who is more of a Jack of several trades and master of them all). As the saying goes if you are going to eat a might as well go for a fat and juicy one.

Well gabeu now have summed it all up nicely, who would u pick between fellaini, de rossi and paulinho? The answer is so easy!!!
18/12/2012 03:45:00
I'm fine with that just as long as they send that brazilian lass in his stead xD
18/12/2012 05:31:00
Spot on @gabeu,i never saw anything special about him in the 2games i saw him play,he can say anything he wants to say afterall he is a world champion but i dont think we need him,i would rather go for fellaini,de rossi, wanyama or fernandinho
18/12/2012 05:56:00
Sergio Busquets would be the most ideal buy!!! I'm such a fan minus his dirty play....but I feel like we need this dirty play in our team...remember a great german number 13 who would give CR7 a torrid time when we played united from just being a tad dirty....I believe is price tag is about 25mil...him and luiz in the pivots sounds rather amazing!
18/12/2012 08:38:00
spot on @Number#25 we need a fighter at DM we somewhat got out fought in the second half against corinthians in that department though what really lost us the game was torres firstly and our missed chances in general hope we improve at taking our chances!

i would rather pick victor wanyama over this dude, he doesn't look anything special at all. and if we must buy a brazilian as this is the current Roman fad, fernandinho should be the guy we must be looking at.
18/12/2012 10:23:00
Torres has made me numb! he would be in an 'exciting' position and I would have a blank stare on my face. I hae no belief in him. And im just the guy in front of the tv, imagine the players that are force to supply him with great balls. From the top of my head i can spit ball 30 strikers that deserve a start over him in a blue shirt. forget the 50mil pricetag, i wouldnt tolerate this from a 2mil player!!!
18/12/2012 12:23:00
Torres is finished...le fondre(readin),cisse(qpr),fletcher(sundaland),benteke(a.villa) would all do a far better job for us than torres
18/12/2012 14:11:00
Haha @Number, makes me numb too. He's like a dog chasing a car (opportunity in this scenario). Dog sees car, gets excited and runs after it, car zooms by w/ dog running after it, dog looks around confusingly and says feck it and lays back down. Rinse and repeat.
