'If It's Football, It's Vital'

It`s Swansea for Us!

Having eased past Leeds United, up at Elland Road last night, Chelsea supporters were anxiously waiting to see who they`d draw in the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup.

With the draw taking place immediately after Sky Sports coverage of the game in Yorkshire, they didn`t have long to wait.

The draw, being carried out by the ex-Chelsea centre forward, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, and Jamie Redknapp, saw Chelsea come out of the hat first, swiftly followed by Swansea City.

Chelsea will have home advantage for the first leg of the two legged semi-final before journey to South Wales for what, if we don`t get a good advantage in the home leg, will be a testing encounter.

In the other semi-final, the rank outsiders left in the competition will play Aston Villa.

Swansea are a dangerous side, but they are surely beatable, and we'll beat them, when is the match going to take place? Hope its next year when we have better strikers? I am saying this here except we buy big in january and rotate intelligently, we'll hit another bad patch, our squad have been stretched too thin and I see us getting knackered soon

We have ourselves to blame if we dont win COC,if swansea likes they should play like mars11 they are surely beatable..

The Carling Cup is ours to lose. While Swansea is a dangerous side we have the luxury of two matches, one of which will be at Stamford Bridge to sort them out. If we cant do that with our present squad then we have major problems. Doubtless Rafa will take this very seriously..he knows he needs to win trophies to beef up his CV for his next job..to placate the Chelsea fans who want his head on a platter and to keep the trigger happy fingers of Roman in his pocket for some time..i have no doubt he will field a very strong side for both legs of the match and for the final (assuming as i am that we get there). Winning this will be a big relief for Rafa and our young squad many of whom have not won anything significant..i doubt that Roman will care much though.
