Di Matteo - Job Offer?

Just days after picking up a well deserved accolade relating to being coach of the year, could Roberto Di Matteo be about to step into another high-profile appointment?

According to one news source, Robbie could be about to take over at the German club, Schalke 04.

The Bundesliga side topped their Champions League Group, ahead of Arsenal, sacked their coach, Huub Stevens, earlier this week.

We`ll endeavour to report if we hear anything further.

It can happen, we'll see how things unfold, but I won't be suprised if he achieves something with the germans, the man is brilliant, just lacks a bit of experience atimes, which would work itself out soon enough with time

i hope its true that will be a piece of good news....all the best RDM....

I am praying hard for him to get a high profile job such as this and do well just to prove the point that is obvious..namely that he is a very good coach..yes still a little inexperienced but an excellent man manager and a gifted eye for talent who simply got a raw deal from Roman and his three amigos. He made the call asking for Moses rather than us spending a fortune on Hulk and right now Moses's stats are better than Hulks since he moved to Zenit. Very few now would argue that he got that call wrong. One can only imagine where we would be as a club now if his second request during the summer transfer window had been heeded by Roman and the board..namely his request for Falcao. Now 6mths later and out of the Champions league it looks like Roman and his three amigos have now belatedly seen the light regarding what he asked (and who btw AVB also asked for two summer transfer windows ago) and will go get the very same player at significantly greater cost..typical Chelsea script and way of doing things in the Roman era.
