Cahill - Good News

After seeing red in the dying minutes of the FIFA Club World Cup Final, against Corinthians, last Sunday, Gary Cahill was unavailable, through suspension, last night.

Indeed, the defender was fearful that for his misdemeanor in Yokohoma City he could be subjected to a lengthier ban by FIFA.

Thankfully, that has not proven to be the case with news filtering through that FIFA have decided that the one-match ban is deemed sufficient.

This means that Cahill is available for selection, if required, this Sunday when we face one of his former clubs, Aston Villa.

So? Does that make us to win or to lose a match? Open up, we need a clinical and a combatant midfielder. That's all

Well with cahill available for sunday we will have more options, cole, cahill, iva, cesar, we can pair luiz and rammy in the pivot, oscar and mata, hazard and torres, 4-2-3-1, we'll have moses and marin on the bench for width in the 2nd half and lamps as an option too, so its a welcomed news for cfc and the coach
Desmondadonis
Its a welcome news but i hope cahill has learnt his lesson, never again should he be stupid to exhibit such unprofessional character
Ken4CFC
A little piece of good news which as Desmond says offers Rafa more options for squad rotation given the high number of games scheduled in a short period over this holiday season.

@Ken, I didn't see what happened, do you have a link? Or anybody for that matter? Only thing I can find is a video w/ a dodgy angle
ForeverChels
@forever,I couldnt find a convincing video either but my friend who was in japan told me he retaliated to a hit from the corinthian forward and cahill's post match comment correlates my friend's story
