Is it just coincidence that our best two results, of the season, have come with the return to the side of Frank Lampard.
Now injury free, Lampard has provided the leadership skills we were so lacking in those crisis moments and his contribution should be recognised for what it is.
Naturally, after the game, Frank was subjected to some probing questions relating to his future but Frank was giving nothing away, simply remarking,
'I'm not concentrating that far. I'm going to continue game by game and I'm just happy to be fit.'
Today the Stamford Bridge faithful left the board with no doubts as to what they want to happen, they want Frank to stay.
Talk of Frank being allowed to leave is scandalous, he still has a part to play in our future and the likes of Sir Alex Ferguson must be chuckling into their hot chocolate at such a thought.
Finally, it`s not hero worship, just open your eyes members and accept that Frank does still belong at Chelsea and we`d be shooting ourselves in the foot if we were foolish enough to let him go simply because of his age!
