Piazon!

Piazon!

There have been much talk about Chelsea getting a wide man!

With Lucas Piazon coming into the frame this will give Chelsea 6 attacking players to choose from in the shape of Hazard, Marin, Mata, Moses, Piazon and Oscar

Piazon was very confident on the ball, made nice runs and good passes and the way he earned the second penalty was great and his penalty miss can be attributed to the pressure on him while at that point.

With what I saw of Piazon's cameo, I would suggest that with more games , he will be able to deal with the pressure of playing for Chelsea's first team in front of the Stamford Bridge crowd...so therefore I am now of the opinion that Chelsea drop all interest in any creative winger or midfielder and focus on integrating Piazon into the squad.

What about you?

What's your opinion?

Secondly what are your own thoughts or opinions about Lucas Piazon`s performance?

Does he deserve a chance?

he was very impressive yesterday...Piazon is hugely talented no doubt..although my opinion is that we can use this season to bed him in gradually with more type of appearances like he had yesterday as well as some Fa cup games and europa league games against not too tough oppositions...I think he has a future here...but we need to be careful not to expect too much from him too soon...he is still young..I think we are looking like we are near sorted in terms of talents for the next decade or so...with FFP coming in...teams like mancity might find it hard to compete with us in 4-5 seasons ahead when their present crop of players leave...go chelsea!

Early FA Cup games would be ideal for Piazon to get game time under his belt.

Another plus for the gaffer. Piazon is such a marvel to watch and i must say i was impressed. I am sure 'captain' Luiz will help him forget about the penalty miss and move on. Nathan Ake has been on the bench for the games in a row and in no time he'll be called into action. Rafa is doing a great job.

If we can get him to realise his full potential, we could ended up with different tactics or formation against different team. To me, he is like a young Kaka and if we play him along Torres, the latter could be deadly as Piazon release the ball early.

We don't need Fellaini as well.

We played against aston villa for christsake!!! Not barca!! We can't say a player have arrived just bcos he excelled in one game, most of u getting candy excited about this lad were the same people saying he aint ready at one time when he was ineffective as a sub in a cup game, I'll advice rafa to play piazon and marin more if we are leading comfortably so they play without pressure and can be ready when moses leaves for afcon, in my own opinion we still need a world class DM/CDM and a striker, we can't expect this crop of players to play all our games in all competitions next year, we need squad depth

Seems we dont need Fellaini anymore? I think its best we get another defender to support JT and Cahill in defence then. Azpi has been a revelation!! So 1 striker and 1 defender in January should be enough to see us push through the season i think.

When Chalobah come back in January he will cover in the defensive midfield and central defense positions so really we only need to buy a striker with money we get from the Sturridge sale with possibly a bit of a top up. We dont need Falcao in Jan. Cost vs benefit because. With a striker and Chalobah we should secure top 3 in the league. Next season we will have KDN, Lukaku, josh, Kalas, PvA available then we start again. spending silly money on Falcao is unecessary in these Financial fair Play days

When I think about our youngsters on loan...my heart is filled with joy..I hope the best of them is integrated into the first team next season...KDB, Josh, Chalobah, Kalas,...are top notch talents...we still have Bruma (I hope guys have not forgotten he is coming back at the end of this season..although i am sure how he has developed), PVA, Lukaku e.t.c...looks really good for us. I hope we make it count...

IMO his best position is no. 10. He needs to start more games or get more minutes under his belt then we can make judgement on him. If he plays or Chelsea play like that against a team like Everton, Stoke or ManU then we can start getting excited about it.

I just hope this loaned out players are keeping a tab on their parent club (chelsea) if they have the ambition of starring for us, they need to train everyday and play like someone who wants to be a world beater, I will be depredssed if chalobah, kalas, josh and KDB don't make our first team, but it will up to them and the manager, I hope we integrate this guys into our team, we can play them, if they click next summer, all we'll need to buy is a striker if we get only one in january, we have almost all the positions covered

Piazon certainly deserve a chance, even though it was against Aston Villa, to me they are not pushovers, if they had beaten us or the match ended as a draw we wouldn't be saying it was just Villa. Moreover, a house is built from the bottom not from the top, so we don't have to wait for Piazon to play and do well against the likes of Barca before we begin to show more confidence in him, of course it's going to be gradual, but his display yesterday deserves applauds... The only reason I would suggest we still go for another winger is that I am not fully confident about Moses yet... and Piazon plays more to the center and not close to the lines..... buy yes, he deserves more game time to build his confidence....

No matter the normal of goals Lady Torres seems to be scoring now, that should not decieve us that he is back finally. He still needs that competition up front and Falcao is someone who could give him a run for his form.Piazon and Oscar seem to look alike both in facial appearance and also on ball movement.

Please spare me the 'just Villa' crap.I remember the first time watching Sterling vs a weak arse team in a friendly but was impressed with him.Game time is what matterz and if Rafa keeps giving Lucas some minutes like Y'stdae,he'll turn up to be even better than Sterling imo.Had we left him in Brazil,he'd be costing as much as Oscar..

Why on Earth would anyone consider bringing yet another creative winger/AM to the Bridge at this time? In addition to the ones mentioned, we also have DeBruyne and reborn Kakuta out on loan and in two years time both John Swift and Thorgan will be emerging through the ranks. We could sell both Kakuta, Davila and Marin this summer while bringing DeBruyne back and we'd be both improved AND earning money instead of wasting money. To perennially suggest that Chelsea are short in this department and "needs more creativity and flair" borders on the ridiculously ignorant of what quality Chelsea already possesses.

I agree with Desmond; Piazon looked good but lets not forget the opposition we were playing and what stage in the game he entered..it was at a point when Aston villa were already well and truly beaten and clearly demoralized. This is still a very young boy..it will be wise not to throw him into the deep end with the sharks just yet. cameo appearances in early round FA cup games, europa league and maybe sub appearances in the Capitol one game are the way to go for him. I actually feel KDB is a far more polished product ready to give us more options in the CM and CAM positions.

Piazon needs a loan move to get more playing time.
