Only a loan deal would be reasonable. 12 million for a 31 year old is too much. Remember Deco for 8 million at 30 years?

I agree layor..thats why , I think instead forking out £12m or even paying out xtra wages, lets use what we already have - Lukaku - give him his first team chance (on the assumption e cant get Falcao till June) to see hether he can be integrated into the team even as a backup (if Torres cant work with Falcao). With FFP arriving , why spend £12m when we dont need to ?

i think chelsea shouldl go for him for a loan deal till the end of the season....after that go for a good young striker..signing falcoa will add more problem rather than more solution...

blue mel yaa we have good core of players but we dont have big squad...and players your mentioning like lukaku piazon and also add josh...do you seriously think they will get oppurtunity at chelsea id ont think so...till you dont have a manger who will be there for 4 to 5 yr at chelsea forgot about our youth dvelopment program at chelsea there wont be place for youth till you have a stable manager at chelsea...dont include josh lukaky piazon or any of our yoth team as a squad player becasue they wont get cenough chance nor our manager will risk them...thats why i was saying buy isco 17 million buy out prajnic 12 million wamaya 10 million and there are many more who we can get on less price and who could challenge for first team chance...we need a better squad players who could challenge for first team...not just for the sake of being a squad players...

shlok, im thinking we both have the same target . a strong young team... but if we buy these players that you mention.. its even less likely that our own already bought youngsters will get their chance. Learn from the past and look at whats happened to our previous youth , they get bored and dispirited waiting on the sidelines for their chance while Lampard, Ashley , Drogba , Malouda etc ( the Mourinho team) gets played week in week out regardless of results. Look at where they are now, Hamburg , one of them even at Liverpool . Look at LUkakus attitude. he even saying hes not returning unlss he ges first team playing time. though i disagree with his attitude, I can hardly blame him - i do sympathise.. Why buy more players when we already have all that we need , except for the playing time they need. All the players you mention are commendable players to want in any team, but will they have the experience of the PL that Lukaku and Josh has ? We need to minimise what we spend here on. We already have Kevin De Bruyne and otheryoungsters waiting to have their chance...we dont need to buy more... just one world class striker .. to replace Drogba ...that is Falcao

Its just tabloid talk - there is no way Chelsea will buy a player who is that old. They are not giving deals to players over 30 so why would you expect them to BUY 31 year old.

Again i hope this is just idle fantasy of so called journalists with nothing better than to print conjecture because if this were to happen i will be so mad..this is how we made mistakes with the signings of sheva and of El Nino himself. David Villa was once the best pure striker in europe based on stats..the operative word..once..he is now on the back side of his career, just coming back from a major injury that nearly ended his career and cannot make it into the barca starting line up despite Sanchez being rather poor...finally the guy is 31...are we seriously going to justify giving this guy a bumper multiple year contract (because that is the only way he would leave Barca to come to us) when we denied that to Drogba, and apparently now to Lamps and Cole..please tell me this is not happening..please tell me Roman and his three amigos are smarter than this.

loan yes please, gamble but worth trying, don't think we're going to get Falcao in january, no hell way Atletico would wanna sell us their best player in mid season

On a 2nd thought a loan deal is not a bad idea,atleast he would complement torres

Villa on loan will be a great addition. He can play both on wings and centre. He can complement Torres. he will give a option to rotate when moses is away for AFC. Loan can be beneficial to all parties involved. He will not hinder our long term plans. We can still go and get our choice striker in Summer.
