The Thoughts of Rafa - Norwich (a)

Following the 1-0 victory at Carrow Road, a more than decent one considering Norwich have already beaten Manchester United and Arsenal on their own patch, Rafa Benitez had a few words to say in his post-match interview.

Firstly, on the performance, Rafa had this to say,

'We knew that was a difficult pitch, they won against Manchester United and Arsenal. It was tough but I was really pleased with the performance of the players. The team are showing character. I am really pleased with the work-rate and the style of play."

Sometimes like today, as we`ve learned in our title winning seasons, you have to grind out results.

When pressed on the Lampard situation, Rafa adopted a diplomatic stance, remarking simply

'We don't talk about personal issues. That is for Frank and the club. I don't pay too much attention because we have to concentrate on the game.'

Well perhaps you are the one person that should intervene Rafa!

chelsea44
please rotate torres and play piazon in place of him...he is far far better than that lady....the opourtunity torres has got here the same if piazon had got i dont think we dont had to look for striker elsewhere....he would had developed better and would have a good player for chelsea...with torres as striker we are going no where...

I'm sick of media making mush about accepting Rafa. I don't care if we win every game from now to the end of the season, he's unfit to be considered a blue.
Pantisocrates
i think de bruyene should replace lamps... we can't afford his 175 k salary (nd he's way off his best)
raghavgurbaxani1994
de bruyene nd luiz in midfield would be gr8... kdb's passing nd long balls are amazing... he can shoot long range.... he's having a gr8 season @ bremen
raghavgurbaxani1994
lampard is gone...it saddens me but it is a reality...my only wish is that he doesn't ever play against us...
Gian-Franco/Luca
Rafa cant intervene,he has his own future to sort out..so lamps go sort his out with club..in btw very happy we won, continue in this form and we would give the mancs a run for their money
Ken4CFC
@panti,what are the requirements to be a blue??
Ken4CFC
Great win at a tricky ground. Rafa is being political as ever, but then again I don't blame him with his tenuous relationship w/ the media. Concerning intervening w/ Frank's situation I don't see it amounting to very much - I doubt very much if he even cares if Frank goes as he is just a puppet with his strings being pulled by the very men that have created the Franky dilemma.
ForeverChels
good win. 1-0 is enough for us in away games. 3 points is the mot important thing to care here.
Blu_run
Whatever the decision, Frank deserves RESPECT, both from the board & from VitalChelsea fans too !! Too many LOOSE statements being made about him methinks.
ZeeNut
@Zeenut,if we rename chelseafc to lampardfc would that please u and the dude??
Ken4CFC
He shined against Aston Villa and some people want him to stay and remain on high wages at the expence of our young guns. There are better players with more energy and superior technical abilities to Lamps who will do better than the present Lamps. Remember he was one of the reasons we lost the Super Cup and Community shield. It is time for him to go!
SameX
Norwich is a tricky game, yes, but the real test comes next week.

A win is a win but we deserved it these are the sort od results we need if we are gonna be considered as title challengers.
