Good goal by lampard from a hopeful punt into the box by ramires. Frankly that is the only good thing he has done today. We need oscar on for ramires or luiz so that ramires can move into the midfield and track pienaar who is an absolute torn in our side today. To think that he was offered to us for 3.6m.

some of you guys are just out to criticize Luiz, has anyone been exceptional in this game? this is a very tough game with a solid four in midfield for everton and you guys expect it to be an awesome game for him..... For me Luiz hasn't been much of a worry so far in this game but rather our attacking four has..... And we all know Luiz is not going to be our 1st choice DM, we certainly need to get a tough and more seasoned DM but he's not doing bad at filling the gap....

If we play citeh, man utd stoke or any top european side with luiz as a DM, it will be a tough game, I am not saying he can't be useful as a midfielder when filling in, but he is better as a CM with his passes runs and drive, if u notice, he struggling in that DM role. We still need to fix that DM role either by purchasing or recalling one of our loanees

shlok27, Everton did not dominate the game. They dominated the first 25 minutes or so but after that it was pretty even and in fact we missed some great chances. Even the stats suggest it was pretty even on possession and shots on and off target.

He's doing whatever he's asked to do. It would be madness to let him go in January; I hope the club has the sense to see what's obvious. I am not a Lampard worshiper or hater but I have a feeling if he didn't play today we would not have scored a single goal. OSCAR was great when he came on and he showed Chelsea puppets/players how to close the ball/how to press/how to put pressure. the duty of the pivot or the midfielders is to controll the tempo and speed of the game, to keep possession and let the attacking players involve more in the attack. our attacking players are best in the bpl. they are not able to fulfil their potential because our midfield is not supporting them properly. u are only looking at two goals scored by lampard and are not looking at those dozens of goals could have been scored if lampard and other midfielders did what they should have done.

I think Ba would would be a fine signing and value for money. Experience in the PL and just slightly less efficient than RVP. Hopefully we can work it out..

Here it is...Lampard should be playing the #10 role in the 4-2-3-1 system...Today Mata was invisible in the #10 role and let's face it...Mata can't defend at all. Lampard is a box to box midfielder that was over running Mata in the #10 position. IMO if you play a 4-2-3-1 you need a passer/playmaker in the pivot with a DM. Chelsea does not have anyone currently on the roster that can perform the passer/playmaker position well. Same with Ramires as he is suited for the 4-3-3...same position as Lampard...box to box...Tubby took off Mata for Oscar and I thought Oscar did a good job...In this big games against physical teams I would go with Mata on the wing.

Might as well either loan or sell Marin...Lets move Mata to the wing and go with Oscar/Piazon in the #10..They are better defenders as Mata is worthless as a defender. Furthermore, I would like KDB to return and have KDB/Piazon rotate with Hazard. Marin can't defend as is a possession player similar to Mata..Don't understand the purchase....Just throwing money away...

Nobody is talkin about cahill and ivanovic,tbh i think they are our unsung heroes..they were equal to anything everton threw at them and they made sure turnbull was given all necessary protection..kudos to the pair

@Blue Day RDM has done nothing, with extra 80mil or so talent he did not have a clue what to do, if he stayed we would be like 6-7 on the table by now. Out of champions league and no league for the next year. I believe we will

We still dont get to the real problem we had yesterday. Lampard scoring 2 goals will not hide the problem he had in his primary duty. the 2 midfielders need to control the tempo and dictate our play. They couldnt do it yesterday bcos of the high tempo...Luiz is new to that position, maybe he will learn and develop to that. But Legendary Lampard who has played his life time there and still struggling to control a game...If he hasnt scored those 2 goals, i wonder what will be the comments here...but dont take any credit from him..kudos for the 2 goals and gettig us the 3 vital points...bcos all teams competing for 4th place won this matchday and we are playing our direct rival for top 4 spot...so, a great win even though it is less convincing...

Again, Roman please be aware of the shout for Lampard contract extension...Dont review ur policy for 30+....Give a 1 yr rolling contract with a reduced wage as per chelsea's freedom to lampard..Let him choose what he wants...but dont sell him in Jan...

My opinion is that, lamps should be oferred only a year rolling contract with a pay cut suited for a squad player, he won't dictate when to play and will only address the media when interviewed, I have said it again and again, lamps is not a pivot player as most of us know, he should be allowed to roam in the opposition box, rafa can find how to play him as he have been doing, and lamarochs, u raised a solid point which I was debating with a friend yesterday, mata should be placed on the wing, while oscar should be the no.10, oscar is more solid than mata and passes well too, but he doesn't have the intelligence of mata, that is what mata is using to get into the team ahead of him, despite being out of form for almost 2 months now if u are not looking at the goals he is scoring alone, he is too soft and haven't improved physically, he doesn't d anything when playing against physical sides while oscar on the other hand disturbs and make nice tackles

We cant play Lampard as No 10 or striker. He is effectively getting space at the box,because the defenders are attracted away by Torres & Mata or Hazard...If you play Lampard at these advanced positions, he will not be effective...
