SOS to the Belgians
Petr Cech's injury is bad news to Chelsea, but we can treat it as a blessing in disguise as it happened in the January transfer window.
Neither Turnbull or Hilario is viewed as capable replacement to Cech, hence our first SOS is to Thibaut Courtious, our on loan keeper at Atleticot Madrid, I hope that the club can recall him back to be our first choice keeper while Cech is out injured.
With talks with Demba Ba's greedy agents without progress, we can issue our 2nd SOS to Romelu Lukaku, our on loan striker at WBA. Chelsea is playing a system of a single striker and with Torres obviously a first choice striker, we don't need to spend a fortune to sign a backup striker to Torres. Lukaku, if recalled back to the club, he still can have a lot of games to play for, a position which is better than that he is in with WBA (he is not a starter at WBA ).
The 3rd SOS is to Kevin De Bruyne, another Belgian on loan with Werder Bremen. The kid is doing fine at Germany and with Lampard set to leave the club in January hugely possible, although I hope not.) KDB can be recalled to replace Lampard. KDB is an attacking midfielder and can play in Lampard's role.
The best part of all the SOS is, we don't need to spend a single penny and yet the squad's strength is improved with young Belgians who are very talented. They can quickly adjust into the team with their international team-mate, Hazard is already here.
Lastly, if Roman feels that he really needed to spend part of his fortune in this Jan transfer window, let's us go for another Belgian: Marouane Fellaini, who can be a great cover for many positions in midfield and striker too. Happy 2013, may Chelsea be the EPL champion by end of May!

Sorry Mate but the You cant recall Courtois mid-season cos Athleti paid to loan him.
I also disagree with re-calling the other 2 players.
Why stop their progress,bring them back only to sit them on the bench? If lamps walks out today,we have Mikel,Rami and Oscar to play their,add David Luiz to the mix and we are good.

Lukaku is not ready, don't be decieved by his goals for West brom, he still have alot to learn.

its a story good on the eye but realistically it cant happen..we got fees for both Courtois and KDB thus they cant be recalled. However if cech is out for a considerable period, i am for us signing a quality and cheap back up...Gomez at spurs is in the market, though could be erratic, i think he is decent and definitely an upgrade to turn-basket...good to see merlin is back up, hopfully the virus has been fully shafted..lol

@3nity...he is not a bad goalie really..its just like once in every three games..somthing sparks in his brain and he does somthing really silly...i dont know if our goal keeper coach (who is one of the best in the world)..can have an antidote for that chronic disorder..loool

I'll am so nervous about putting turnbull on the goalpost, but I guess we don't have any other option than to do just that and pray cech gets well soon, I agree with ur article entirely but as peeps have said, its a dream that can't come true in this transfer window, we'll have to pay both AM and werder bremen if we are to recall any of them, the only person we won't pay for is lukaku as I don't think he was paid enormously for his loan service, but I am skceptical of him coming only for rafa to favour torres over him. We should rather recall essien and buy a striker

Lukaku just scored for West brom and he is looking good. I know where the author is coming from but it wont happen. These loan deals were made by our board and not a manager..i doubt that they will change anything in this regard. As regards goal keepers to serve as a credible back up..simple answer Birmingham's Jack butland who is available on the cheap. We should have gone in for Carlo Cudicini before he moved to LA Galaxy but there is no way we will get Thibaut from Atletico at this stage..they are paying a significant amount to have him on loan from us. ...that wont happen.

another suggestion is to bring in a winger like isco to give hazard mata and oscar some competition while moses is gone...

Hmm,i'm quite confused here,i would have loved to bring all of them back but hey coming back would only stall their development,if kdb comes he would sit on the bench,if courtois comes he would sit on the bench when cech returns,if lukaku comes he would equally warm the bench as rafa would always prefer torres..hope the board makes the best decision

Those 3 belgians(along with PVA and Kalas) are among our brightest players onloan and are making real progress. Recalling them now would only serve to stall their development. They would be better players than they are currently by summer. It will only make sense to recall courtois if cech would be out for more than a month but i dont think cech would be out for that long.

can anyone tell me how many goals lukaku has to score at wba to get the title of READY......i dont understand that term at all in footballing terms...bit confused...when should a player be call ready to play in first team....

Will rather take Old Brad than Gomez. Worst case scenario we stick eith Turnbull. Coutious and KDB are on season long loans and can't be recalled. Demba Ba and walcot would be great additions to our team if we can get our hand on them at reasonable prices.

I complained about our goalkeepers department in the transfer when we're busy buying midfielders....i knew we'll be headin to disaster should cech get an injury

I watched West Brom's game today, Lukaku scored 1 goal but missed 4 to 5 chances. He is still better than Torres who would have not scored at all. Lukaku needs to improve is heading ability as he is ALWAYS easily marked/stopped in the 18 yard box whereas someone like Carroll/Drogba make sure they get there head to the ball. Lukaku is most of the time STATIONARY in the box.

Out of the 3 SOS, I agree with the SOS of KDB...Rest are strict NO..Let them play and develop....KDB can be handy while Moses is off to ACN....

Yesterday, read a article which read that Atl.Madrid wants chelsea to add Courtois in any deal for Falcao....If this happens, Chelsea are the most senseless club...We have some more quality options available for Striker position, But it is very difficult to get a keeper of Courtois quality...We have unearthen a gem...lets not agree any kind of these deal.

Well if athletico wants courtois in the deal with falcao then we should only pay 25m for falcao and buy birmingham's butland or any other prospects.

The most credible of them SOS' would be the recall of KDB,as it isnt wise enough to go hunting for a winger when we have a quality player like De Bruyne ready for us. Courtois would have also made a bit sense if not for the fact that AM purchased his service all through the season, cos i dont see the brain in signing another goalie when we have 1 capable enough somewhere. We can make a Lindegaard(or whateva) and De gea alternation with Cech and Courtois until Cech is done. As for Lukaku,he is doing well at WBA, and we can stress it..WBA not CFC. We will only waste him if he comes back prematurely and am sure majority of the folks on here will not remember they clamoured for his recall when slating him in a situation of underperformance or him performing below expectation.
