Aspas Deal Moving Closer?

Aspas Deal Moving Closer?

Transfer speculation regarding the Celta Viga striker Iago Aspas continues.

This morning, the tabloid press is peddling the inference that a deal is drawing closer mentioning, in the process, a fee in the region of £5.5 million.

But, there is also the suggestion in the air that Chelsea may have competition for the 25 year-old striker with Reading reportedly interested.

It sounds like a hard choice to me!

He has agreed a 5 year deal to move to Valencia. Chelsea never even made a bid! Our name was used to build up attraction for other clubs to bid.

Why are we now allowing other clubs Hijack our transfer targets these days, first was Shakhtar on Taison, now its Valencia on Aspas. And the irony is that we are bigger than these teams. Chelsea FC had better wake up if not i fear for this transfer window, lest we end up empty handed.

With piazon off to malaga, its now very certain we would make at least 1 more addition to the squad. I just hope it is done and wrapped up ontime and not wait till 31st.

I don't know how true the ispa to valencia is but I still believe is how serious chelsea are, first remy had agreed to join newcastle, qpr hijacked it,who remembers robinho?when we already started making his jersey but he ended up at liverpool, just as far as he hasn't signed for valencia,it still depends on the player and the ability of our board to turn his head by offering him a bigger package...I just hope the board gets every business they do this january right!!

whether we bidded for the guy or not ; i guess we will never find out from the club. whatever happens it is imperative we get another striker to help out demba ba upfront as i surerly dont see torres aas a striker worthy of a blue jersy next season.

Painful, but I guess valencia were offering something we haven't offered, I reiterate that we can't depend on only ba in competitive matches alone, we need that backup and we should go for one now

It appears we have become an instrument with which a player is exposed to limelight. This has to stop.

Can we hijack the loic remy deal from the hijacker????? besides rubbing it in on QPR fans, we will be getting a very good player who can play both as a striker and a winger for 8m ( 1m above what we paid for BA). I think that would be another good bargain rather going for Schurrle for 2ce the amount.

I am having a feeling that we might not be signing any new players if RAFA is only staying till end of the season. Why recruit on his advise? maybe these players might not fit into the new coach plans.
