'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Off! But, Where?

The future of Frank Lampard continues to generate column inches.

Now widely accepted that he`ll be leaving, his destination remains the subject of much debate.

On Friday, it was inferred that Frank had more-or-less agreed to join LA Galaxy.

This morning, however, there is a fresh angle being reported.

The grapevine is inferring that Frank, still a spring chicken at 34, is not too keen on leaving the international set-up.

Lampard is currently on 94 caps and is looking towards becoming a centurion. However, if he moves to the USA then he is likely to fall short.

Therefore, the grapevine is now suggesting that a move to AC Milan could be on the cards with the Serie A side offering Frank a one year contract.

Thankfully, Frank is very reluctant, we hear, to join another Premier League side as he is reticent to sour his relationship with the Chelsea fans who worship him.

He is not going there next season. He wants to make the England squad for the World Cup.And going there will minimise his chances of making it.He'll either go to United or Juventus or remain at Chelsea. And I am confident he'll be given a new deal. The LA Galaxy rumour is nonsense, for sure.Maybe after the World Cup,but not this summer.

Why would Juve sign Lampard? They have better players there. Would be bench Vidal, Asamoah, Pirlo or Marchisio. I don't think so. Manure have Cleverly now. They don't need Lampard.

If the news about Ashley Cole are true then i believe Lamps will also get his deal done. I hope he accepts club's policy of a one year rolling contract and remains here.

FV.Juve will keep rotating players and all of them would get games.Fergie also rotates players. And sorry, none of them is better than Lampard. You are deluded if you think like that.He was awarded the PL player of the decade.Keep lying to yourself.Pirlo himself said that he would welcome Lampard to Juve.

foreign_viewer. Juve plays 3-5-2, so 3 midfield options where lampard can play. What if Pirlo gets injured? or vidal?

Super happy he's going....don't really care where. I gather most of you here are of the English persuasion so you think you have the top players on the planet but you're not all that. The dude has limited options so he continues to pray he gets and extension.

if news about ashley is true.. and if lampard doesn't get new deal, that does show up to some extent that may be his love for media has worked against him.. and its quite suprising that cole never said a single word of complain about not being given the new contract.. thats what professionals do.. and people say cole is money hunter.. and thats why he doesn't speak anything

Bye Super 8 thanks for the 12yrs and all the goals, you are a LEGEND but we've had enough of the Lampard media circus n'all and the not so discrete arm twisting techniques for an inflated contract...so the very best luck for the remainder of your career wherever you may go - may the force be with you

Good sense is rare on VC and apparently rare at the CFC board as well. I repeat my original point that giving Lamps isn't an issue of sentimentality but one of common sense. He's still performing at a level that warrants an extension, though I do hope he's willing to take a pay cut for sake of the club. If not, I don't blame him, and he'll surely be off. He's employable in Europe, but if money and semi-retirement is what he's looking for, he'll go to LA and sit in the sunshine. The problem with the MLS, however, is that it's a bad product. The standards have improved, surely, but they're not even at Championship level. That could be a real shock for Lamps professionally, and the pitches in America range from grass to astroturf. A while back I read a long article about Beckham's original reaction to the MLS--I don't think he was accustomed to staying at a *****ty Holiday Inn and sharing a room with a guy who makes 32K a year. Things have since changed somewhat, but I'm not at all convinced that Lamps would enjoy the league. Unlike Beckham, I do believe he's eager to continue playing at a high level. Italy would suit him, and in spite of what some are saying about Juve, he'd be appreciated there. It will be interesting to see where Mourinho lands--he loves Lampard.
