And a Few Words From Rafa

And a Few Words From Rafa

Following what appears to be the rarest of evens in recent times, a home win for Chelsea under the interim management of Rafa Benitez, the gaffer had a few words for the media, remarking,

'Today Torres was a key player for us. Every run he was always there and ready and pushing the defenders. And he makes space for Mata, a good winger. He and Demba Ba did well."

'We have been doing well, creating chances in all our games. In the games we didn't win we deserved to win. It was just a matter of time until we had a performance like this.'

Would it be churlish to point out;-

1 - Ba`s contribution in 8 minutes was far more significant than the 82 minutes Torres was given!

2 - If we`ve been waiting for a performance like this - I hope Rafa means the first half rather than the anxious, nervy second half!

Your thoughts please!

Merlin tell them once more, I don't see any reason to moon over this man tactical nous, if rdm was fired he should be fired for a better coach not this mediocre liability, I am really aghast that he'll say those words about ba, a shame on him, mata is knackered and hazard is on his way to be too, rafa tactically sound? Playing with Torres in the team is like playing with 10 men out there... I'm starting to notice that the team are starting to avoid passing to him... His half volley to the sky, and non movement in the box is despicable play at best! If Torres was a key player for us, then all the fans and Benitez must have been watching two different games... Can have what he is smoking? I thought ft9 should have been off at half time!

I've just got back from watching an abysmal performance from Torres and to see those comments from the Spanish waiter tells you all you need to know about how good a manager he is

Look no further than Roman's instruction if you want to know why Torres is still being pampered. I have no doubt that,Roman is makes it known to our coaches his desire to see Torres at his best. Little wonder he is played every now and then. This makes wonder if RA sees Chelsea as a kind of real football game management where he can derive personal joy from and get a fav player playing for ones own fun.

I still can't believe Robbie was unceremoniasly sacked and this man was the only plan, I don't think he should be crowing about todays performance at all, the weakest Arsenal side since Abramovic arrived and we hung on second half after they gifted us the first, Benitez should not be here and Ba should start every game.

This is just Balderdash from Rafa...Porres was the poorest chelsea player on the pitch, give or take but he was still better than his usual self.

I just want to bring this to the notice of a few people. These are stats with mikel in our pivot and without. With mikel, 21 games, 9 wins, 6 draws, 6 defeats, 36 goals scored and 33 conceded. Of the 36 goals scored, 7 were scored and 2 were conceded after he was substituted. So with him as a pivot/ screen we have scored 29 goals and conceded 31. Without him, 17 games, 13 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses. 55 goals scored and 15 conceded. Says a lot, but waiting for your excuses, maybe blame lampard.

The Fat One maybe grotesquely large, but a win is a win against the team that has more home wins against us than any other...even Barca hehe...but he is still so fat that his cheek rolls obstruct his vision if he thinks Torres is on Ba's level, but Torres was infinitely better than his usual self...I bet if RDM was still coach, he'd have more goals...Just Saying...

metro.co.uk/2013/01/21/fernando-torres-critics-are-clueless-blasts-rafa-benitez-3359892/ Is it me or what? Is rafa telling us that torres is tired and he is still giving him more game time ahead of ba? Torres have played almost 40 games this season including preseason, and ba only the premier league and a few run in the europa, so why still persist with nando blindly when he admits that he is tired?
