Malouda - QPR Bound?

Malouda - QPR Bound?

Transfer gossip appearing in one newspaper this morning infers that an exile could be about to leave Stamford Bridge.

Florent Malouda, now thirty-two years of age and exiled to train with the youth team after a contract disagreement this summer, could be making the short trip up the road to Loftus Road, where it is inferred that Queens Park Rangers would like to acquire the Frenchman in the transfer window.

As far as I can make out though, there is no mention of a fee, which, incidentally, we believe was the sticking point in that aforementioned summer contract wrangle when Malouda indicated he`d like to move on!

If he can tag team with Bosingwa to ensure that QPR do end up relegated at the end of the season then this will be a tremendous deal that we should get done ASAP. On a serious note though i feel for Florent..yes his quality has declined precipitously in the last 1.5 yrs but i am actually embarassed about the way Chelsea FC has treated him and hope he can find a club somewhere to see the last few years of his career before retiring with a semblance of dignity.

its a shame about Flo coz there were a couple of years when he was a real key performer for us....I am not however embarassed by the way CFC has treated him, as there is a degree of self infliction here...Chelsea chose to make an example out of him because people come to Chelsea on a wage that cant be matched anywhere and treat us as some sort of retirement home, Malouda had various offers in the summer and didnt accept any of them because he was talking about the CWC despite the club telling him that he was no longer a part of the plans...i think its just standards being set but i did like Malouda at the height of his powers and hope things turn out well for him. Having said he will pocket £4M this year which isnt too shabby

Torres should be the one to join Rangers not Malouda. I mean he can do a better job than the blonde Torres as a striker. Whoever sold Studge has no brains whatsoever. I say bring Flo back to the first team and send the blonde out.

@JonnyOz is right and i agree with him. Cobhamblue commented sometimes ago that the season malouda didnt leave in the summer was because chelsea demanded a £10million transfer fee which is a completely false and misleading information. The truth was that chelsea were ready and willing to release malouda for free but because there was no club that was ready to match malouda's wage demand, he refused to move and rather demanded a payoff compensation from the club. The club refused to be held to ransom and decided to use him as a scapegoat to serve as lesson to future contract rebels. I have seem us criticise our board on this site for most of their decisions but honestly most of them are decisions that would benefit the club in the long term. Someone has to do the job of 'the bad guy' cos if u are always playing the part of 'the good guy' then u would always be taken for granted. Torres would be the next guy to be so treated; take a paycut and move on or risk being given the malouda treatment.

I'll give Malouda credit for playing a part in the 08/09 season and the double winning season after that he was mediocre. If this rumour is true then he should take that £50m rat face with him.

Happy for him. If we had tried him as a striker, he ould have done better than Torres.
