Match Day Moments - Brentford (a)

Match Day Moments - Brentford (a)

Is anyone else out there a touch nervous?

Is there anyone else out there that fears Chelsea could be, embarrassingly, knocked out of the FA Cup this lunchtime, by Brentford, in a season that has become synonymous with upsets?

I sincerely hope not but after a night of torrential rain the Grifffin Park pitch is going to be a great leveller.

Chelsea will be hoping to continue their defence of the famous old trophy and ease into the last sixteen but our West London rivals will have other ideas.

As usual we are running one of our famous Match Day Moments threads, a thread in which we`ll encourage sensible comments from our readership about the starting eleven Rafa has selected and the action as it unfurls and also the aftermath of what will either be a Chelsea win or another day for the under-dog.

So why not join us, bit please keep the flow of comments civilised.

We cannot achieve anything with Rafa guys, stop bothering yourselves and raising your hope. Less you become like the Gunners. 6years at Liverpool.....1 CL, 1 Super Cup and 1 FA. All between 2004-06 possibly with Gerrald Hulier's (whatever the name is) team.

This has the potential to be a banana skin, but we'll be fine. Easy win. Trust me :-)

Potential banana slip for rafa. With the squad depth problems facing chelsea, rafa may need to rotate and experiment with his lineup and tactics... He may choose to start both Torres and Ba and switch formation to 442. Oscar and ramires as central midfielders while any 2 of mata/marin/bertrand on the wings. Lamps need some rest so he can start against reading. Even mata is suppose to sit this one out but i no rafa would always play him.

Piazon was a sub vs Barcelona in the Copa del Rey. Why is he on loan?

No matter what assurance rafa might think he has got from roman and emenalo, if he should lose today then it would only be a matter of days before we have a 3rd manager of the season. They are not even showing any sign of backing him with the 2signings he is asked for. And honestly it would be unfair for them not to back him with atleast one more player to add to the signing of Ba considering the injuries, afcon and fatigue that have affected the squad.

I am *****ed. First off we are playing a first choice back 6 (actually because our squad is thin) and secondly they are showing the australian open and the india england game IN TWO *****IN LANGUAGES ON TWO *****IN CHANNELS on tv. And i want to watch.
