Standing Our Ground

The decision, wrongly in our opinion, to charge Eden Hazard with bringing the game into disrepute, could galvanise Chelsea into standing their ground.

Reportedly, Chelsea accepted the red card shown to Hazard, and the subsequent three game ban, in the opinion that the punishment was sufficient.

Now if, as expected, the Football Association decides that further punishment is required, quite possibly by the extension of the ban, Chelsea will, so several news sources are reporting, appeal and stand their corner.

About bloody time to is all we`ll say!

Yes I agree with the club's decision, the ball boy wasn't even berated!! I think we can go to CAS for this and I am sure we'll upturn this joke of a FA decision, no wonder english teams are average when they have bunch of *****s managing the country's football affair despite having some fine footballers

The club has got my support on this one,the 3match ban is enough(but if i have ma way i would suggest we appeal the red card) but obviously the f.a want to show the world how foolish,we should stand strong and make a big fool out of those bunch of *****s

What a joke the FA is, for arguments sake JT got a 4 game ban for supposedly racist remarks now are they saying what Hazard did warrants more of a punishment than racial discrimination?

Perfect! Even if the FA get their pound of flesh, the idea is to show them we can't be bullied into submission every single time. We should stand our ground and push back.

I posted this last week and today Martin Samuel has also published it in the DM . In a match between Oxford United and Swindon Town 3 march 2012. Swindon player Matt Ritchie shoved a 14 year old ballboy in the chest and knocked the ball out of his hands. He was only given a yellow card by Graham Salisbury. More intresting though was the answer FA gave to a letter Myles Francis wrote describing this incident: "Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. The FA has investigated and liaised with Oxford United on this matter. The player was cautioned by the Referee for the incident and has subsequently apologised to the satisfaction of the ballboy and Oxford United. Kind regards Gary Stonehouse | Customer Relations Communications Division The FA Group "

We have to stand our ground,we shouldnt be letting them have their ways with us all the time without a fight. The 'violent' in that charge is uncalled for. And besides the ball 'man' should be punished for neglgence of duty and cheating.
