Chelsea Paired With Middlesbrough

Chelsea Paired With Middlesbrough

After escaping with a 2-2 draw earlier today, Chelsea will be relieved to get Brentford back to Stamford Bridge for the replay.

If the Champion of Europe can squeeze past the League One minnows they will be facing Middlesbrough in the 5th round, at the Riverside Stadium, as we continue to defend the trophy we won, against Liverpool, last May.

Now I sincerely hope if we go through, Josh is eligible to play...please God....hmm....looking forward to that one...hopefully we go through Brenthford though....as my expectations are now in full reset as it is becoming more and more likely that we wont be bringing anybody in....sigh!!

I hope we don't waste our players energy by playing till the semi final, then losing out to swansea again, we should set our priorities now and it should still be top 4

@ohanss..nothing wrong with bluekid's post in my eyes...I hope josh does a Couitois tooo...I am itching to watch him play against us and see how far he has progressed...m dying to see that actually...of course I expect and hope that we win...but l really wanta see Josh play...oh!...I forgot we have not even beaten Brentford just yet to earn the right to play against boro...I hope I aint assuming too much...God have mercy.

@layorh, sorry, i thought by doin a Courtois,he meant Boro beating us silly with our own, like the supercup. I misinterpreted.

Josh should play and i hope he sets two goals against us to loose by 4 goals to 2 (that's if we manage to beat our spirited neighbours).

@desmond, yes o brother. They shouldn't just waste their energies at all if they know they won't come out motivated to play games when it matters!

It would be the biggest of oversights if Josh plays and gets the winner against us wouldnt it...No way he plays for me....IF we get past Brentford at Stamford Bridge...with our recent home record, the home replay isnt a walkover by any means, if the real chelsea dont show up, a humiliation of gargantuan proportions is on the cards...

@Johnny...smart man reallty smart...you dont want boro shagging chelsea do you?...lool...we are soo insecured now...ok I agree with you..if Josh playing will mean boro beating chelsea (I am still shocked i am typing this: boro beating chelsea at SB??!!!)....then I hope he stays out...he is the future anyways so no worries..

lool...Indeed Layorh, if we get past Brentford in the replay, then the match against boro is at the riverside, i think...They are a top 6 championship side atm, so should be even more difficult than Brentford away. Having said that if we can beat spuds, Arsenanal, and the Toffees on their home grounds as we have already this season, then these sides (Bford & Boro) really shouldnt be giving us too many problems, but here we are...

"If the champions of europe can squeeze past the league minnows..." To me that's a big if. And may I add, big ask, considering our home form compared to away form.
