Mata Injury Concerns

To draw 2-2 after leading 2-0 with a mere three minutes to go; is a disappointing thing.

However, the news that our talisman, Juan Mata , could be missing for the next few games is bad news.

Mata, who scored his 15th goal of the season in giving Chelsea the lead last night, has an ankle injury that will be assessed by the doctors this morning.

Let`s hope it`s nothing serious otherwise we could be in trouble seeing as we always fail to deliver when Juan isn`t in the side.

@mzee69, marin haven't been able to cope with the physicality of his natural position, he can't last in the cam role, and as I feared mata gets injured, I was thinking rafa would let him drop on the pitch with his tongue lolling before we realize we have overworked him, now that he is injured we'll see how chelsea will cope without him, since we haven't tried or prepare our team to cope in his absence as u guys screamed that we are nothing without him, I just pray to God that he comes quickly. To think some fans didn't want him to be removed against reading yesterday

Probably nothing wrong with him at all, just the Bentiez trying to excuse his latest blunder as he took off our best player with the game 'won'!

Let us all pray and fast that Mata does not pick up an injury or collapse from exhaustion due to excessive minutes because if it happens we all know what happens next..the bad moment will quickly transform to the "worst moment". We really dont have anyone who can take his place orchestrating our final third and that is a tragedy..neither Hazard nor Oscar are quite the same. All we can do is hope and pray because it is doubtful any help is coming in the transfer window and certainly none of the loaned out players who could put in a back up shift (KDB or possibly even Josh deployed further forward) have been recalled.

I think I smell a signing already, please God let it be real, we need atleast one quality player, either as a CM, winger or CAM..... Or perhaps someone that can play in all that role

I have now come to accept there wont be an addition after all. Rafa is doomed,but that doesnt bother me. I dont want our season and our top 4 chances to be jeopardized.
