Lampard`s Target

Last night, Frank Lampard moved a goal closer to Bobby Tambling`s all-time Chelsea scoring record.

A header gave us a 2-0 lead but it also saw Frank reach 196 Chelsea goals. Frank now has 6 more goals to go, a task the editorial team at Vital Chelsea sincerely hopes he achieves.

But, it`s also worth pointing out that Frank`s goal last night was his 9th in 11 Premier League starts, another remarkable statistic I think you`ll agree for a midfielder.

Where on earth would we be without him? I guess we'll find out next season and I can't say I'm looking forward to it!

Lampard have paid his dues, he'll get there, but I hope he plays for the team than glory hunt to surpass tamblings record, he needs to either play as a CAM if mata needs a rest than play in the pivot where frankly he is not suited. All the best to him and he really tried this coupla days, playing games after games despite being 34

Wow!6 more to go,i believe he would get there, legendary stuff....he should just maintain his discipline and not utter the balance of the team in search of personal glory..the goals would surely come

I can see him determined to get to that record. Good for him if he does and good for chelsea too since everyone gains from his goals.

It is now less six and still counting. Already a landmark in double figures since he has 10 goals by now.
